Straight from the heart of Vryheid, KwaZulu-Natal, we are honored to feature Zonotha Zwane, a 29-year-old visionary who breathes life into the "blank canvas" through the divine language of realism. @_.zonotha._ work is more than just visual - it is a spiritual homecoming.

This collection is a "quiet conversation between spirit, tradition, and self." From the ancestral memories in Veil of Strength to the meditative stillness of Thula Moya, Zonotha’s art anchors us to our sacred spaces.

For Zonotha, art was the light that guided her to restoration and her divine purpose. Today, she invites us all to pause, reflect, and truly see the beauty that defines us.

From the deep soul of Zambia, a narrative of light and land takes flight, shaped by the sun and a spirit of constant renewal. This is @richfactory - more than a brand, it is a vast canvas for Pan-African creation.

The @artfrikanity arts festival is a month-long resonance of African identity that refuses to be underestimated. This event gathers a vibrant mix of artistic voices, celebrating the unruly and varied excellence of modern African talent. Experience heritage as an active, vital force through four unique Lagos settings:

Babalakin and Co.: An environment of refined prestige where African masterpieces are presented with significant financial value and intellectual depth.

Space 1699: A venue that grounds its audience in ancestral roots, proving that ancient symbols and textures still speak fluently in today’s creative world.

Pier Harbour by SRS: An open forum for the newest artistic visions, ranging from quiet, personal narratives to grand, massive installations.

The Lagos Motor Boat Club: The festival’s communal anchor, where the energy of the art moves from the walls into the shared presence and conversations of collectors and fans.

✨ Grand Closing Ceremony: December 27

🗓 Exhibition Final Day: December 28

📍 Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

We are a family of colors. We are African hues, forever captured in time and space.

From the very heart of Zambia, a story begins. Born from the land, shaped by the sun, and woven with a spirit that dreams anew.

This is @richfactory . A canvas for creation. A bold new vision that spans the continent and beyond.

Across Africa, a kaleidoscope of cultures, a symphony of light. It’s a statement. It’s a movement. It’s All About Hue.

It’s the spirit of a Pan-Africanist. Bold and free. A journey of art and identity, crafted by the vision of Rina. Her hands are a bridge, connecting the past to the present, tradition to tomorrow.

Celebrating heritage’s grace, not as a memory, but as a living, breathing power. Each garment is a tribute. Each color a story.

We are a celebration. We are a legacy. We are a family of colors. African hues, forever in time and space.

Jariiid’s work beautifully dismantles the idea of humanity as separate from the wild, instead revealing the profound truth that our story is inseparable from the earth’s. Through the recurring motif of the green leaf, @jariiid creates a potent mirror for the human experience—symbolizing resilience, rebirth, and the delicate balance we must maintain with the natural world.

His paintings are a constant reminder of our own “green DNA,” using these natural symbols to explore universal themes of vulnerability and hope. This deep commitment to interconnectedness and defining our place within the living world perfectly aligns with the @ArtFrikanity ethos of celebrating African identity and narrative sovereignty rooted in the land.

🐮 @Cow.Mash (Kgaogelo Mothepa Mashilo) asserts identity not in abstraction, but in the material force of BLACK. BLACK is the ultimate canvas—not the absence of light, but the totality of African experience and unapologetic self-assertion. Her fibre and sculptural work use this singular hue to speak volumes, marrying ancestral depth with contemporary identity.

The cow, a resonant symbol from her Limpopo heritage, is reborn in her hands to articulate the unapologetic experience of the modern black African woman's journey.

As both an artist and an academic, Cow Mash uses the tactile nature of sculpture and fibre work to ensure that the vital indigenous knowledge finds its voice and anchors the next generation of African artistry.

This deep dive into cultural transmission and the unfiltered narrative of blackness perfectly embodies the @ARTFrikanity ethos of celebrating African identity and narrative sovereignty.

Witness the future of African Art. Follow @ArtFrikanity for updates on the inaugural pan-African arts festival happening in Lagos 🇳🇬 this December! #ItsAllAboutHue #ArtFrikanity

The journey from ancestral memory to the vibrant contemporary moment is painted in a spectrum of what @dirty_native_chief_ defies as African Hues.

We are profoundly honoured to collaborate with Njabulo Hlophe, a visual artist raised in Soweto, and a visionary whose bold language is fundamentally rooted in redefining Black imagination. Njabulo’s canvases don’t merely depict; they reconcile. He masterfully takes the historical weight of the past and transforms it into the vibrant, forward-looking spirit of today by weaving pop culture and the profound traditions of local practices into a dynamic fusion.

For @ARTFrikanity, this alignment is crucial. Njabulo’s work is the catalyst for connection we champion. His art is a tangible space where abstract cultural pride is shared, transforming into a collective, human experience. It proves that our history is not a burden; it is the foundation for an unstoppable, innovative future. Witness the dynamic fusion of past and future through his incredible vision.

Titled : Azure Wings

Azure : This word describes a shade of blue that is similar to the color of a clear, unclouded sky.
Historically, it has connections to the mineral Lapis Lazuli, which was used to create blue pigments.

In the heart of ‘Africa Is All About HUE,’ a story unfolds in a symphony of blues, browns, and gold, a testament to the continent’s vibrant soul. Here, an African Godess stands, a pillar of strength and serenity, her presence a grounding force amidst a cascade of color. Her skin, a canvas of rich browns and gold, echoes the fertile earth, a source of life and enduring resilience.

See you soon in Lagos🇳🇬 @artfrikanity Art Festival

Before we can BE, we must first stop trying to become. The journey isn’t a race to a finish line, but a surrender to the sacred now. Like a river that has always known its destination, its water doesn’t strain to reach the sea; it simply flows. In the same way, we are always arriving, always becoming, always being.

Our ancestors understood that true power lies not in who we strive to be, but in who we already are. They knew that we carry the wisdom of our lineage in our very bones and the strength of a thousand suns in our hearts. This season invites us to shed the old skin of who we once were, to release the ghosts of past hurts and self-doubts, and to step fully into the greatness we were born to embody. The blessing is here, waiting for you to simply receive it.

I AM HER.
