It’s always the little details. ✨

For this project with my Faded Memory Lane collection for 49 and Market, I took a little risk and let mauve lead the way… and I absolutely love how soft and romantic it became. 💜

But look closer.

Small ephemera, fibers, little twigs, flowers, tiny crystals… Those almost insignificant details are what connect the different parts of a composition and help tell the story.

Use what you like. Tuck it between layers, fill those tiny gaps, create little connections.

Because sometimes, the smallest detail is the one that makes everything come together. ✨

After making the ephemera keeper for #10daysofbitsandpieces2026 I had still paper scraps and an eco dyed page on my desk.
I made it into a tag/pocket for day 68/100 of #the100dayproject2026

The colours of the greenish eco dyed page match very well with the autumn colours and the beautiful image from @arthousewhimsy

Following @inky.mia and @hilltop_view_journals by making an ephemera keeper for #10daysofbitsandbobs2026
I chose of course to give my ephemera keeper a grungy look but botanical as well with pretty images from @arthousewhimsy

Today I finished the outside, tomorrow I’ll work on the inside and the actual pockets and holders for all the ephemera we will make during the 10 days of the challenge. Look at the accounts of @hilltop_view_journals and @inky.mia for more details about this fun challenge!!

Hey crafty friends! Today I am sharing a grungy tag using the @arthousewhimsy - Flutter Fusion 4 - Neutral Grungy Painterly Moths & Butterflies collection! I paired these beautiful butterflies with beautiful elements from the Faded Memory Lane collection from @49andmarket @nuneka__ @arthousewhimsy

I had so much fun building layers and texture using paper, crackle paste,
Ephemera, oil pastels, and some stitching!

(Ad) Today @wendymeffan66 shares this beautiful layout using @49andmarket @arthousewhimsy The Quiet Observer Collection.

This gorgeous collection The Quiet Observer is perfect for so many outdoor photos. Having visited the Confetti Flower Fields with @cropkat and another couple of scrappy friends I had the perfect photos to choose from!
I loved the pastel shades in the collection the beautiful 12x12 Collection pack papers. It was hard choosing a paper for my background . Having settled on a pinky paper I created two photo clusters using elements from the frame set, the laser cuts, laser cuts wildflowers and ephemera. I loved adding extra interest using the blendable rub on transfers to the background paper .
I used the 12x12 solids collection to create a border at the top of the layout using punches to soften the edges.
I love how the layout came together and is calm and peaceful just like my day at the Confetti Flower Fields !

What if the story doesn’t need to make sense? ✨

Maybe he lives underwater.
Maybe the fish can fly.
Maybe those strange mechanical creatures are jellyfish… or maybe they’re something that doesn’t even have a name yet.

And honestly? I don’t need to know. 😂

That’s one of the things I love most about Art Journaling: a handful of completely unrelated elements can suddenly become a world. You put one next to another, add colour, change the scale, let something float where it absolutely shouldn’t… and somewhere along the way, a story begins to appear.

Not necessarily a story with a beginning and an ending. Sometimes it’s just a tiny glimpse into a place that exists only on those two pages.

This spread was created during The Storyteller #30, playing with Distress Oxides, drawing, layers and a wonderfully peculiar collection of characters from @arthousewhimsy And somehow, I never shared the finished page!
