"meeting grandfather"

Mix technics
220x120x30

"meeting grandfather" is an intimte and personnal installation made during the month of november at @raro_barcelona in barcelona.

It explores an healing and transformative journey that happend through a 3 days ceremony for the ancestors that i had the chance to participate to during my stay in portugal.

It depictes the sacred medicine wachuma teachings and wisdom on 6 metal plates, centered around the holistic symbol of the chakana : the stairs between the heaven and the underworld.

I placed inside personnal lost memories of my ancestors whom i had the opportunity to connect with during this ceremony.

This installation is an invitation for all of us to honour and thank our ancestors, good or evils, for bringing us here.
Despictes the hard trajectories, the terror of war, burden and grief, this installation is a call to remind to the unique source that connects us all. by @arthur_rabut
