Some projects stay with you long after they’re finished.

Working with the Australian War Memorial to document the stories of Melbourne’s Timorese community was one of them.

These portraits and interviews now form part of the Australian War Memorial’s permanent Peacekeeping Exhibition, helping preserve stories of resilience, identity and Timor-Leste’s journey to independence.

A huge thank you to everyone who trusted me with their stories. It’s a privilege to help preserve history through photography and film.

Great stories start with great conversations.

Last night we attended the Maribyrnong Business Elevate Program networking event at the Western Bulldogs Ground.

We’ve been involved with the program since 2021, and one of the most rewarding parts has been meeting passionate local business owners and helping them share their stories.

It was also great to hear from Mayor of Maribyrnong, Cr Mohamed Semra, and connect with so many businesses contributing to the strength and diversity of our local community.

Thank you to Maribyrnong City Council and everyone who attended. We’re excited to continue supporting local businesses through storytelling that creates impact.

Behind the scenes on a project close to the heart.

Recently, we partnered with V/Line to help bring their Hidden Disability Sunflower program to life through a series of frontline staff training videos.

This wasn’t just about filming trains, stations or scripted moments. It was about helping translate accessibility, empathy and proactive customer service into something human, practical and real.

From platform logistics and safety planning to shaping story-led training scenarios, this project was a reminder that thoughtful visual storytelling can do more than inform. It can help shape culture.

Real people. Real impact. Even on Platform 4A.

Artificial Studios has officially moved into a new home at Clik Collective in West Footscray.

We now have access to a larger studio, inspiring meeting spaces, a dedicated photography studio, plus a podcast room for voiceovers, interviews and audio recording.

Still the same heart-led work. Still the same slightly chaotic creative energy. Just with a little more room to grow.

Big learning day, lots of wagging tails (almost) 🐶🎤

Behind the scenes at the Royal Canin Start of Life Workshop, capturing a full day of education, interaction and connection for vet nurses. From long-form presentations and panel discussions to vox pops, highlight reels, stills and plenty of candid moments in between, this one was a content marathon.

We filmed speakers, audience engagement, Seeing Eye Dog puppies (yes, that happened), networking, branded activations and all the little moments that make these events feel human. Everything designed to live well beyond the room, across e-learning, social, web and future promos.

Premium, polished and packed with value, without losing the warmth. Educational events, done properly behind the scenes.

Behind the scenes on a big library refresh for healthAbility 📸

Two days, three locations and a whole lot of moving parts, all focused on capturing imagery that feels warm, inclusive and genuinely human. From Healthy Ageing and Mental Health to frontline partnerships and community connection, we photographed real moments across services that support people at every stage of life.

This shoot needed flexibility. Different settings, different stories and imagery that could work just as well on social as it does on a website banner. Add b roll, direct to camera content, a stylist, hair and makeup, producer, videographer and a wonderfully diverse group of 27 participants, and you’ve got a proper team effort.

Calm on screen. Busy behind the scenes. Exactly how we like it.

From kitchen scraps to compost gold 🌱♻️

We teamed up with Moonee Valley City Council to bring the FOGO rollout to life, and yes, we went all the way from household caddies through to the organic waste facility where it all gets transformed into compost and mulch.

Featuring everyday locals, bright visuals and a relaxed, energetic tone, the videos focused on simple tips, real people and a clear message that FOGO is easy, effective and already working.
 Making waste education less yawn, more ohhh that makes sense.

The @snaicc_ National Conference at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre is a living conversation about children, culture, and belonging.
Every story and song circled back to one truth: our children carry the future, but they thrive when they’re grounded in where they come from.

After spending time in Timor reconnecting with my own family’s story, land, language, and memory, I was reminded how deeply culture shapes who we are.
SNAICC’s work shows that culture isn’t something to preserve, it’s something to live, through children, families, and community.
