Digital art study 4: Seasonal trees

Digital art study 3: Plants and natural lighting throughout the day
The next object I wanted to study was a basic plant. I included the base drawing as the last photo. I then used that basic photo to play and practice with different natural lighting. I used new layers and color filters to imitate the reference photos and different times of the day. I took some notes and practiced on a sphere to get the general idea. by @artiful_ella

Some fictional landscape practice that I’ve done this past month in my free time if I wasn’t burnt out from school art. I wanted to get better at drawing worlds from my own mind, not from any reference photos.

The first drawing was actually a concept for my website “Cafe for You” - a cozy visual and auditory space that people can use for ambiance. However, I did not add it since I had a short deadline but this concept is something I would love to add in the future since it will be an interactive, magical space aside from the other static defaults.

This is a re-redesign of an old character I made when I was in middle school. I called him lightning boy and the first sketch is on the last photo next to a re design I made in early high school. The difference with this redesign is that I changed the clothes to have more background. Instead of plain rag clothes, I decided to design them based on pre-colonial Filipino clothes with a few touches :)

Took a break from it but here’s a revised, cleaner version of the villain character concept I made as one of the first posts! Possessed by a dark wizard for years, he looks abnormal and tainted by darkness. He is in the same world as the city I drew that’s based on European and Asian Architecture set in a mysterious, magic jungle.
