Second time round with Clockwise, and the brief was simple: stay exactly as cool as they already are.

For their new Exeter space, we didn't want art that felt bolted on. We wanted pieces that felt like they'd always been part of the building — limited edition prints, bespoke paintings, and a tapestry that does double duty as texture and as a way of quietly zoning a smaller wall.

Textile art is having a real moment right now, and it's not hard to see why. It brings a physicality a flat print can't — something you want to reach out and touch, not just glance past on your way to a meeting.

The brief for a repeat client is harder than it sounds. You're not introducing an identity, you're protecting one. Clockwise sits right at the edge of what's current, and the collection had to earn its place in that reputation rather than just decorate around it.

Contemporary. Considered. Genuinely cool, not trend-chasing.

People don't fall in love with floor plans—they fall in love with possibilities.

One of the hardest parts of marketing an empty commercial unit is helping people picture its future. An unoccupied space can meet every technical requirement, but if visitors can't imagine themselves working there, they'll head to the next viewing. That's where curation makes the difference. When we style a space, we do more than place furniture, art, and décor. We build a narrative. A narrative that shows potential tenants, buyers, and occupiers how a workplace could look, feel, and operate. The aim isn't merely to populate a room. It's to craft an experience. A thoughtfully dressed environment invites people to stay, ask questions, and form an emotional connection with the space. In short: you don't sell square footage—you sell the vision.

Art in Offices has been working on something very special with @Aldiuk, at their new site in Bardon, Leicestershire.

We were commissioned to make a monumental sculpture to reflect the site's past as a coal mine.

Working with an artist blacksmith, we designed, built and installed a two-part sculpture, which uses the shape of the mine shaft itself as its inspiration.

Fine details were included in the wheel section, such as the mine cart, the miners' lamps and the tools they used.

Now, it sits proudly outside Aldi's new site, a testament to the future and a telling the story of the past.

Art in Offices is proud to unveil a commissioned sculpture for our long-standing client, @Aldiuk. Built on a former brownfield coal mine site in Bardon, Leicestershire, Aldi's new location called for a piece that honours the area's industrial heritage and local importance. We brought in @samartistblacksmith to design and craft this striking public artwork to act as an artistic memory for all that was here before. It now stands directly on top of the old mine shafts, proudly welcoming all who arrive at the new Aldi site.

Add a view where there isn't one. Does your office window look out onto a brick wall? Do you have internal meeting rooms with no windows and no natural light? Add artwork that makes a window. Add the view yourself and it wil ldo wonders for everyone's mental health.
