Here’s a mandala-doodle artwork I created some time back. Combining two forms of art has always been something I enjoy doing. This is one such attempt!🌻I love how this has turned out and hence, I’ll be adding a similar artwork in my doodle course. I’ll be launching that recorded course very soon.💫In the meantime, you can check out my mandala art course and art journaling course. All the links are added in my bio.✨#mandaladoodle #zendoodle #doodleart #patterndoodle mandalainspiration by @artist.chetna

Here’s the bookmark I created in my recent live session with @simmixart ❤️🌻✨The central motif, half mandalas and the blue background was all done during the live session but it still felt incomplete to me. So, I did the thing I know best- doodling. Added some zen-doodle patterns in the background and now it looks perfect to me.Share your thoughts in the comments.👇✨Art supplies used-• acrylic paint markers @hobbyideasindia • fineliner pen @sakuramicron • bookmark paper #bookmarkart #mandalabookmark #doodling #mandaladoodle by @artist.chetna

So, what’s going on in our brains when we doodle? Well, usually when we do it, it’s out of boredom, frustration or to release stress. Experts describe doodling as like a safety valve, that allows us to release pressure in a safe and non-threatening way. However, there’s far more going on than meets the eye. Firstly, doodling is thought to give us a powerful mirror into our sub-conscious. This can allow us to tap into other concepts and ideas we might not have otherwise considered.Doodling is also thought to give certain processes in the brain a break, while firing up other, more helpful ones.🌻Doodling:• stops your brain from slipping into default state.• improves your memory.• makes you more creative.• helps you process emotions.• reduces stress.• helps you learn more effectively.• can improve to big picture thinking.• can help you understand yourself.• makes you a better listener.• can boost your mood.#doodling #doodletherapy #drawingreel #creativearts #lineart by @artist.chetna

In the ancient Sanskrit language of Hinduism and Buddhism, mandala means “circle.” Traditionally, a mandala is a geometric design or pattern that represents the cosmos or deities in various heavenly worlds.People in different cultures all over the world have created mandalas, suggesting that the form speaks to something deep within every human being. The brilliant psychoanalyst Carl Jung believed that the mandala represents the Self and that drawing a mandala gives a person a sacred space to meet that Self. He considered making mandalas an effective form of art therapy, helping to calm and comfort people struggling with mental health issues.Mayans, Aztecs, Australian aborigines and European Catholics all created mandalas in one form or another, but mandalas are most common in Buddhist and Hindu art of the Indian subcontinent.- text copied from a blog by AdobeCreated this design using @brustro_official art supplies.• pigment fineliner pens• drawing paper A5 (200 gsm)• coloured fineliner pensAll these supplies are available on their website brustro.inUse coupon code CHETNA10 for discount.I offer recorded mandala courses and downloadable colouring book PDF. Created this quick A6-size mandala design and enjoyed the process so much.😍🎨Making mandalas is a great way to meditate. While you’re repeating a pattern, you’re being in the present moment, focusing on the pattern for a long time which brings you into a meditative state. 💆‍♀️🌸✨If you’re interested in learning about mandala drawing in detail, visit the link in my bio, I have a lot of recorded workshops and courses to offer.🌿#mandala #mandalainspiration #mandaladrawing #creativearts #mandalatutorial by @artist.chetna
