Psssst…. this may sound like a fairytale, but our artist is a bit of a magician who married the Earth, and at their wedding, she made three vows from the bottom of her heart:

• I shall create with good thoughts, passion, and love.

• I shall treat every creature kindly, not mean, and indeed I trust that abundant fruit will fall from the great trees above.

• I shall act as a bridge between the unseen and the seen, ensuring the stream of inspiration flows freely and purely through my hands.

And should I fail, I shall remember that I am not perfect but human, and forgive myself only to rise even better.

Be Crazy for Life, fall in love with life! 🌴🌴🌴🌴🕊️

#bild #interview #presse #wow #dankbar #sprinter

I love, love, love UNMASKING.

Looking at what is behind the surface, what is hidden, what you don’t see at first sight.

And maybe that’s also why I love working in layers so much.

This painting is part of a bigger series I created in blues and in different shades of pink and rose. From far away, it looks quite calm. But when you come closer, there is actually a lot going on. Little animals hiding somewhere, small anecdotes, my Cocoletters, tiny details you might only discover after looking at it for a while. Almost like a little Wimmelbild.

And then there is the white.

The white for me is not an empty space. It is more like a way through the painting. Like looking through a wall into something that wasn’t visible before. It gives the work another dimension, opens the space and somehow makes the canvas bigger than it actually is.

Space. Freedom. Maybe a kind of freedom space.

I think that’s what I love about these works. You can look at them quickly and see one thing. Or you can stay and suddenly see something completely different.

Last week I delivered some more of my paintings to their new homes and I still love the thought of my art hanging somewhere I have never been, becoming part of someone else’s life.

If you are interested in one of my works, just send me a message.

Big hug,
Coco 🤍

The real number of cattle killed for Oktoberfest is surprisingly difficult to establish.

For 2025, the official statistics report 130 oxen and 44 calves — but these figures cover only selected foods and are based on voluntary reporting by participating businesses.

No reliable figure for the actual total number of oxen and calves consumed across the entire Oktoberfest appears to be publicly available.

So the true total may be higher — but there is no sound basis for inventing a number.

What we do know is that more than 350,000 chickens were officially reported consumed in just 16 days.

Hundreds of thousands of sausages and around 72,000 pork knuckles were reported as well, representing an unknown additional number of pigs.

Some oxen are specifically raised for the gastronomy supplying Oktoberfest; many of the animals destined for the famous Ochsenbraterei live for no more than around two years.

Behind 16 days of celebration lies the consumption of hundreds of thousands of animals. 🙈🙈🙈

Now that my Paris exhibition is over and I’ve had a little time to land, I’m already playing around with new ideas.

I’ve really fallen in love with illustrating lately. In Paris, I kept sitting in cafés with my watercolours, sketching whatever caught my eye – and somehow, dogs kept finding their way onto the paper too. 🐾🇫🇷

Because, well… THE DOGS OF MUNICH go to Paris.

Tonight I’m sitting here at sunset at Munich, picking up those rough little Paris sketches and seeing where they take me. Bobbino is, of course, right next to me. As always. ❤️

More soon.

Thank you to everyone who came to the opening in the Marais. It meant a lot to me. 🤍

I am showing five works here in Paris, all circling around one question:

NOW THAT I’M FREE TO JUST BE MYSELF, WHO AM I?

One of the installations is made from things that carry their own stories.

A violet earring from a stripper friend in Berlin.
A piece of one of my own bras, now holding part of the installation.
Barbed wire I brought back from a farm near Kitzbühel.
A tiny rosary from a church in Sicily.
Swarovski crystals.

And I stitched parts of it by hand, the way my grandmother taught me. I was eleven when she showed me how to make my own clothes.

I love that these things have absolutely nothing to do with each other — and somehow everything.

My grandmother. My own body. A farm in Austria. A church in Sicily.

Different moments of a life ending up in one piece.

And somewhere between all of them, this question:

Now that I’m free to just be myself, who am I?

Maybe I don’t need to know.

Maybe that’s the point.
