Time is a river that never stops flowing. Memory is our only way to resist being enslaved by it. The place we belong lies deep within it.

“We return in vain to the places we once loved. We can never see them again, for they lie not in space but in time.”
— Marcel Proust, In Search of Lost Time

Digital space has become a natural visual environment for a new generation of artists and is reshaping the language of exhibition. “Fragment of Elsewhere” explores digital identity, image culture, virtual space, memory, and technological emotion, asking how virtual space can hold memory in another form. When feelings and memories are kept here, the exhibition becomes more than a display of data: it becomes a place to return to.

In our newly launched virtual exhibition space, we will work alongside our technical team to bring your creations to life through digital rendering. We welcome artists and designers working in painting, photography, graphic design, animation, video, 3D, interactive art, and new media.

Join us this holiday season as we invite audiences to explore and illuminate unique memories, one by one, in a shared digital space.

Some of the most meaningful moments of the exhibition unfolded through conversations, shared curiosity, and unexpected encounters. We’re grateful to everyone who visited IN[COMMON] and spent time with the works. And our sincere thanks to @seadesignfest for championing creativity, collaboration, and community, and to the many inspiring artists, designers, and visitors who made this possible. IN[COMMON], in retrospect.
Thank you to everyone who made IN[COMMON] part of this year’s @seadesignfest. Over two days at Lake Union Park, the exhibition became a shared space where contemporary art and design came together through diverse perspectives, thoughtful conversations, and meaningful encounters. We’re deeply grateful to our participating artists, collaborators, and the Seattle Design Festival team for making this possible.

Our quick 2-day wrap-up! ✨

Spotted some chic audiences ⚪️⚫️ and had so much fun with @seadesignfest.

As the spatial designer for this project, I explored the motion side of In[Flux]—approaching material selection and the display grid with consideration for the subtle movements activated by wind, sunlight, and the surrounding environment.

Learned so much throughout this journey, and a huge shoutout to the talented ladies @artistry_edge_ & @voraciousplayer for the amazing curation and thoughtful selection of artists and artworks. 🤍

ROC — Opening Reception @aspace____

Still thinking about this night.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening of Repetition of Control (ROC) during NYCxDESIGN.
To the artists who trusted us with their work.
To the friends, curators, designers, collectors, students, and visitors who spent time with the exhibition.
To the conversations that unfolded unexpectedly between artworks, strangers, and shared experiences.
For a few hours, the space became something more than an exhibition — a place of encounter.
We’re incredibly grateful to have shared this moment with all of you.

$Installation Views REPETITION OF CONTROL (ROC)
What repeats quietly becomes a structure. Over three days in Brooklyn @aspace____ , Repetition of Control (ROC) unfolded as a space where repetition revealed itself not as sameness, but as pressure, memory, ritual, resistance, and return. Ceramic gestures hovered like unfinished handwriting.
Digital systems fractured into human traces.
Bodies became mediated images.
Domestic objects carried grief, intimacy, and inherited memory.
Light flickered between signal and silence. Presented as part of NYCxDESIGN, the exhibition brought together practices spanning sculpture, photography, installation, computational media, illustration, experimental object-making, and material research — each approaching repetition as something both deeply personal and quietly structural. Featuring works by:
Gaurav Dua & Jonathan Penvose
Chris Geier
Weiyi Li
Yui Lin
Anya Savinova
Shristi Singh
Alice Tedesco
Songer Yang Presented by:
Artistry Edge × Soft Hours × Sophie W. #NYCxDESIGN #ContemporaryArt #InstallationArt #DesignExhibition #exhibitionview by @artistry_edge_$

ROC Opening Reception
May 15, 2026 6–9 PM
@aspace____

Some repetitions comfort us.
Some consume us.
Some quietly become the systems we live inside.
ROC brings together emerging artists and designers whose works move between sculpture, photography, installation, computational media, illustration, and experimental object-making.

Opening night will include wine, drinks, light refreshments, and artist conversations.

Across the exhibition:
digital structures dissolve into human gesture,
memory is reconstructed through repetition,
domestic objects become emotional archives,
and technological systems begin to reveal fragility, intimacy, and resistance.
