A Second Hand Story: Look 1

Earth is a character that has not yet shown the outside world
their true abilities. They have secrets. On the outside they’re
strong but reserved. On the inside, they're a gem, Special and
one of a kind.

Look one is created with donated gold tinted fabrics, second hand sourced black fabrics, and thrifted trims. Details consist of patchwork, construction and snap buttons that enable silhouette changes seen in the 'rock' skirt and shoulder piece.

Hereby I present my BA graduate collection: A Second Hand Story

'A Second Hand Story' is a costume design collection created for a story inspired by Disney's 'Elementals' movie. Each look is a character based on nature's elements. The looks represent character development through various changing design elements. Every single piece is made completely out of second hand materials, tapping into the possibilities of circularity withing costume design.
