The ocean gives us everything. Light. Breath. Life.

These images are part of The Blue Thread — an exhibition at the @artivism_awards, shown in Venice in collaboration with @oneoceanfoundation and curated by @zeitgeist19 , as the world marks World Ocean Day and Climate Week.

Each frame is a love letter. And a warning. We are still in time to protect what we see here. But only if we choose to act.

DEBUT AQUAMARINE VENICE BIENNALE
OCEAN PRESERVATION AWARENESS.
Written and sung by @juliedziewaltowski . ‘AQUAMARINE’ marks nymphaeas first official live release. The track was co-produced with Max Kurtz @maxkurtz_

We look at the ocean and we see beauty.

We look closer and we see what we have done to it.

curator: DIANA VAN HOHENTAL UND BERGEN @hohenthal_und_bergen

Since 2020, the Artivism Awards have brought together artists whose practices engage with the urgent realities of our time, not as illustration, not as commentary, but as direct act. This fourth edition takes a single, clear position: the ocean is a living system
under threat, and that threat demands a response from every field of human intelligence, including art.

Art cannot clean the sea. But it can change the way we see it, and what we are willing to do.
