Really appreciate Texas Social Group for inviting me out as an Honorary Guest for Vintage & Verses on October 16th.
I spend so much time behind the scenes building Blaq Artz Studios, ARTKILL$, creating opportunities, connecting people and trying to push Austin art Kulture forward that sometimes I forget to stop and appreciate when somebody else sees the work too.
So yeah... this one feels good. 🙏🏿

FROM THE WALL TO THE WORLD.

Somewhere right now there’s an artist with crazy potential who just needs a wall.

A connection.

Some materials.

Some guidance.

Or somebody willing to say, “I see what you’re doing. Keep going.”

That’s what THRO-UP$ 4 GLO-UP$ is about.

This ARTKILL$ initiative is our commitment to helping the next generation of artists turn raw potential into real opportunity.

We want to take overlooked spaces and turn them into creative outlets.

Connect developing artists with murals, projects and real-world opportunities.

Give them more exposure.

Help provide resources to keep creating.

Connect them with experienced artists for mentorship.

And ultimately create a cycle where somebody who gets an opportunity today can become the person opening a door for somebody else tomorrow.

The artwork featured in this Reel represents exactly why we believe in it.

Different artists. Different cities. Different styles. Different stories.

All proof that sometimes incredible work is already happening around us.

It just needs to be seen.

SXSW 2026: THE AFTERMATH.

This wasn't just another art show.

For SXSW 2026, we switched the whole game up.

TEAM ARTKILL$ vs TEAM SOMETHING COOL STUDIOS.

8 artists.
2 teams.
3 rounds.
Bigger canvases.
Harder prompts.
Live performances.
DJ going all night.
A packed crowd helping decide who survived.

And when the paint finally settled, it came down to OG Johnny vs Plastic Dracula for the championship.

The crowd voted.

🏆 PLASTIC DRACULA TOOK THE CROWN.

But Page 12 isn't only about who won.

It's about what happens when you take art off the wall and turn the creative process itself into the experience.

Artists under pressure.
Music surrounding them.
People choosing sides.
A crowd actually invested in watching something get created from nothing.

That's ARTKILL$.

And none of it happens without the artists, performers, DJ, Something Cool Studios, our sponsors, everybody behind the scenes and every person who pulled up and gave that room its energy.

🎨☕️ BEWM FOR THE PEOPLE.

This one is bigger than coffee.

We had the opportunity to celebrate the 3rd Annual BEWM FOR THE PEOPLE, honoring the life and legacy of Austin artist Nate “BEWM.”

BEWM was only 18 when he passed, but what he left behind was bigger than the art he put on walls.

He left connection.

A love for creating, collaborating, trading art, bringing people together and making sure somebody who might've felt outside the circle had a place inside it.

And three years later, that energy is still moving.

What started as a community coming together to remember one young artist has grown into something actively creating opportunities for the next generation.

Through Something Good Initiative, that work now includes free community art meetups, artist residencies, mentorship, workshops and public-art projects.

Through BEWM Coffee, coffee itself has become another canvas, supporting independent artists, community organizations and mental-health initiatives.

And once a year, everybody comes back together for this.

Food.
Music.
Live art.
Old friends.
New friends.
Stories.
Creativity.
Community.

Not simply to remember a life that ended too soon, but to keep building from the things that made that life matter.

There's a phrase behind everything BEWM represents that really stuck with us:

CONNECTION IS PREVENTION.

Because sometimes giving somebody somewhere to create, somewhere to belong, or simply somebody to talk to can mean more than we'll ever know.

ARTKILL$ is proud to support people doing the work to make sure artists aren't just seen for what they create, but supported as human beings while they're creating it.

Talent is everywhere.

Opportunity isn't.

So here's to BEWM.
Here's to the people carrying his name forward.
And here's to making sure there's always another chair at the table.
