Had a great time making this for @thegirlfriendletter! This may or may not be inspired by real life things that have grated my nerves the past year, not limited to the tilted photo frames, the cobwebs, the dog, the slightly overcooked food, and of course, the dying plants.

Recent illustration done for @npr about “How a SCOTUS decision on birthright citizenship could impact education access”. This was an interesting piece to make because I was trying to capture the girl’s sadness, while ensuring the image itself didn’t get overtly dark. Also my third commission in the recent months drawing children, so I guess I’m getting better at it 👀👀

I don’t post extensively about these, but I usually do one to three branding projects every year, and here are some of the logos I’ve made in the past 8 years!

There is nothing like seeing your work in the wild. Just found out that a company I did the branding for in 2020 just raised $150k in funding, and it makes me so happy to see my work contributing in some way. Most of these are made in private capacity, and some of from my initial stint as a designer at Foodarketing and LBB.

Made some new work, which I’ll be bringing to @yourstrulymarket in two weeks!

Last fall, before this winter set in, I went for several hikes, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to capture those moments. I had an interesting time playing more with light and textures in this, and I definitely want to practice more with these in the upcoming months.

A while ago, I got the honor of doing a poster for @hoodlumrock ‘s documentary, FLAT. Suri came to me with a clear and fun brief: she wanted a film poster that included a portrait of her, and captured her with pre-Raphaelite energy, with a focus on exaggerated feminity but done subtly. The documentary talks about experiencing breast cancer as a non-binary person.

So grateful to Suri for the opportunity, and so happy to see all the places the film is going!
