I love to see how others perceive beauty. One way I do this is through gazing at how artists repurpose what their experience and feelings are into something that is beautiful and something their own. Not all art is beautiful, but when you find it, it makes all the effort and time meaningful. Beauty makes life worth living. Beauty makes the unbearable bearable. Beauty ignites wonder and sparks imagination. Beauty inspires. Beauty is worth studying because through beauty we understand one small facet of the Creator. The One who is out of His own beauty creates beauty. The one who creates beings who can perceive and appreciate beauty. Obviously this rant shows just how much a novice I am in the wonderful theology of beauty. I am too far away from mastery, but believe this is a matter worth speaking on, because through beauty I enter into the presence of God. taken in SFMOMA San Francisco Museum of Modern Art by @artlej

@toanthomasnguyen with a coffee tour throughout the Bay. Had some truly mind blowing stuff. Masterpiece, Kaizen and Moonwake were standouts. Shoutout to CoRo for making the most insane milk tea I’ve ever had in my LiFe. by @artlej

~creation declares~ HOW I LOVE YOU! I look around, all I see is you. You’re right beside me, you make everything new. I could not help but hear the Lord declare his love for me as I experienced the Father: through my eyes, ears, nose and hands. How good and safe am I in my Father’s hand. I cannot help but be in awe and wonder is I believe, that just as in nature, he too will create and make beauty out of my tiny, little life. taken in Mt. Rainier - Inspiration Point by @artlej

~manifest presence~ this building has been the place of encounter more than any other place outside of my bedroom. inner healing, visions, and the Lord’s voice are almost amplified here, probably because of the saints who open up portals of God’s glory through interceding. I’ve experienced God’s weight of glory here more than any other place, and it is my delight. God is eager to manifest his presence here for one simple reason: God comes where He is WANTED. taken in Fixate PHX by @artlej
