Spec Ad for @thewholetruthfoods

This was my first real attempt at conceptualizing and executing a spec ad film largely on my own. My primary goal was to push myself as a cinematographer and explore the kind of images I want to create.
There are definitely things I’d approach differently today. Maybe the idea hits the mark, maybe it doesn’t. But I’m grateful I got to make the attempt, learn from it and most importantly, make something with a bunch of people who believed in me.

Kolkata has a lot to say. One must learn to listen. Sybau.

@artnik30 and I were out documenting Kolkata, listening.

This is a small excerpt from our entire collection and one we felt was worth sharing. by @artnik30

To Kolkata, a city unafraid to flaunt its colonial past and the literary heritage.

To Kolkata, where boats and ferries remain a vibrant part of the daily commute.
To Kolkata, where trams still glide through the streets as symbols of heritage.
To Kolkata, where even after a long workday, people head to the theater for a three-hour play on a weekday night.

To Kolkata, where art and culture have a hundred different definitions, each as unique as the people.
To Kolkata, where crowds fill the streets for a “Michhil,” a rally with purpose, a march with conviction.

To Kolkata, where unity runs deeper than religion, nationality, or dietary preference. Yet where non-Bengalis are lovingly—or sometimes cheekily—called "Hindustanis" or "Meros."
To Kolkata, where hand-pulled rickshaws still weave through narrow alleys.
To Kolkata, where couples stroll through the historic Victoria Memorial Park, embracing a timeless romance.

To Kolkata, the city that stays with you long after you've left its embrace.
To Kolkata, the city that will never change. taken in KOLKATA-কোলকাতা by @artnik30
