Some palette knife birds here 🪶

This is a painting of the simple sunset I watch through my window every single day. I always find myself waiting for that quiet moment when the sun begins to set, just to sit and gaze at the colors.

Whenever I move to a new place, one of the first things I look for is a window that faces either the sunrise or the sunset. 🌅✨

My pretty brush collection, slowly growing day by day 🎨 and honestly… please gift me paints on my birthday 🥺

My little effort to make my art space feel cuter to myself 🎨

And I had to add a plane ✈️ because I see so many of them passing by through my window every day.

These abstract expressionistic clouds 🎨

My signature just becoming part of the painting ✍️

My beautiful palette, the place where I’m allowed to be messy, unfiltered, and free, so I can fully express what I feel and turn it into paint. 🎨

The sun so textured like it wants to come out of the painting. Just like every sunset I watch, I feel like I want the sun to reach me, like it’s coming closer to me somehow 🌅

The paint splatter like the raw parts of me that don’t sit still enough to be shaped so they land on the canvas as they are, unfiltered, emotional, alive.

I wonder what I would’ve done if there were no golden hours at all… 🌅

My unpaid actor: the lamp 💡

The texture, please… I always end up going heavier on it, like I want the paint to be felt, not just seen

Give an artist a little free time, and somehow the need to create finds another outlet. This time, it was henna. Different tools, different surface, different process but the same joy of making something with my hands.

I’ve realized that for creatives, rest doesn’t always mean stopping. Sometimes it simply means creating in a different way, exploring another medium, or letting curiosity lead for a while.

The medium changes, but the artist remains. 🕊️ by @artofarshia
