“A certain part of me had to die—the old artist that I was.”

Life and death have always existed in Ross Pino’s work. But after losing his brother in a tragic motorcycle accident, those themes were no longer abstract.

They were real.

Loss changed Ross, and with that, his work became more personal, visceral, and honest.

If you dream of the Mediterranean coast and Parisian romance, you’ll be obsessed with Sebastian Graham’s expressive watercolor scenes.

There’s a kind of energy that only exists in certain places — the gold that spills over Marbella at dusk, the chic atmosphere of a Paris café at golden hour, the exciting motion of a street full of strangers. Sebastian, unlike any other, has captured the essence of these scenes in the moment itself.

He grew up between Mallorca and Marbella, carried that coastal warmth to Paris, and somewhere along the way turned watercolor into a way of seeing the world — cafés, cities, and the people moving through them, painted live as they happened. That lens is what drew TAG Heuer, LOEWE, Marbella Club Hotel, L’Ermitage Beverly Hills, Bal Harbour Shops, and Charo Ruiz Ibiza to collaborate with him.

Every print is a place he sat, a room he watched, a moment he refused to let pass by unpainted.

The Haus Guide to Art Collecting Episode 1: What does “museum quality” actually mean?

In this episode, we walk through what to actually look for: the paper, the ink, how it’s printed, and how it’s documented.
