Staying positive while the world seems always on fire is not easy, and I don’t think it’s supposed to be. That’s why I keep building experiences worth living for.

The experiences I build are meant to make you feel something again, to connect you to other people, and to teach you something new, whether about yourself or about something else.

If you want to be part of something like that, follow along to see when the next experiences are happening. All current experiences are linked in my bio.

I created The Experience Standard because I’ve been obsessed with experiences since I was a kid. Creating them, enjoying them, analyzing them, sharing them.

Most content shows you a place. Very little shows you what it’s like to be there, and to know that, you have to let yourself fall into it. The places I’ve experienced taught me what luxury is: being thought about. Really, really thought about.

It starts with the Fairmont Grand Del Mar, where I grew up. Grand was my word for it, from the gates to the winding road up through the trees. Now it holds my memories, my kids’ memories, and my gallery. And I get to do what I love here: build experiences and see the look on people’s faces when they feel them.

Follow along for experiences worth traveling for.

What’s a place you’d want to pass down? Comment below. 👇

Send this to someone building a legacy.

Disclosure: I work with the Fairmont Grand Del Mar through Mansion of Art.

MODERN ESTATE

I’ve always loved the presence and grandeur of historic portraiture, but I’m interested in what happens when you bring that language into a contemporary setting. Taking something familiar and disrupting it slightly. Past and present, restraint and opulence, history viewed through a modern lens.

This is the world of Modern Estate.

Introducing Davide Pizzigoni. Architect. Author. Stage designer. The man who ran global campaigns for Bvlgari for 16 years and just came back to take over every single Bvlgari window display across the world. Born in Milan. Collected in New York, Tokyo, Paris, and everywhere in between. His work lives in the space between architecture and art — vibrant, layered, and completely impossible to ignore. Opera houses from Zurich to Tokyo have trusted him with their stages. Private collectors on four continents have trusted him with their walls. And those collectors? They’ll tell you the same thing. His work doesn’t just fill a room. It changes how the room feels. It makes you stop and look closer. And wonder how you ever lived without it. And now he’s bringing all of it to the Haus.

To collect Davide Pizzigoni’s work, please visit www.hausofcollectors.com.

Women is my favorite painting I’ve ever made. It was recently shot in HD by @alekskarjaka, who usually shoots million-dollars paintings for @christiesinc 🫠. He kindly took the time to shoot mine and I’m so grateful!! If you ever need stellar museum-level documentation of your work, reach out to him. I honestly never seen that level of quality in my life!

I love this painting so much that I’ve refused to sell it twice (don’t judge… lol). I just want it to have a special home. I painted it during an art residency with @thelockerroomnyc gallery, founded by my friend @miss3liss . It remains one of my most cherished memories, both as an artist and as a woman living in New York.

Full project is on my website.
