#takebackcincodemayo

Cinco de Mayo is a date that attests to the resilience and strength that Mexicans have had over time, based on our culture of resistance.
An army of Indigenous Mexican people defeated one of the best armies of that time.
As CESOSS, on this date, we affirm the same resilience and strength in our advocacy to protect land and water in the Atrisco Valley.
On this date, we reaffirm our commitment to maintain and protect what is sacred for all humanity.

As part of taking back Cinco de Mayo, we plan to run a campaign reaffirming the people of Atrisco’s right and responsibility to protect and preserve land and water for future generations.

We will run this campaign to attest to the fact that water is medicine y el agua no se vende, el agua se ama y se defiende. #somosatrisco #cesoss #waterislife taken in South Valley, New Mexico by @artpxpi_

Photography featuring @josh_tafoya_ & @artpxpi_ works for the @burnzozobra x @internationalmuseumofdance project at the Quarai Mission Ruins.

I am so grateful to have been included to document this project as an artist. It has rekindled my fire for creating meaningful art with community and participating in productions that align with my spirit.

I have lived in New Mexico my whole life but this year will be my first time attending Zozobra and I get to do so with this group of talented beings to capture their intentional offerings.

I look forward to sharing more photos this week celebrating more of the collaborations and artists bringing this to fruition!🧚🏻‍♀️

Café De Olla season is here! This season Earthen will be getting a Oaxacan batch from @dripsbyguillermo at @laluzcoffeeco & @los.amigos.coffee He will be releasing the roast soon for single bag purchases make sure to grab one when they release!

As for the Cafe De Olla keep a look out in the streets and this month for new releases of this seasons traditional Mexican Cafecito.

Last years coffee was from Chiapas. Looking forward for everyone to try this one out from Oaxaca.

Cafe De Olla is a traditional Mexican coffee that was invented in the Mexican Revolution where old coffee was reheated with spices by the Soldaderas!

Muchas Gracias a @artpxpi_ for always coming in clutch for the videos 🎥

Blessed day Much love
