One of the BEST DAYS EVER 🧽 is when the understudies come out to play 😇

No one (and I mean no one) works harder than a wonderstudy! 💪🏽

The dedication and effort to learn regardless of whether you get to go in front of an audience says a lot about someone’s craft. The evidence was laid before us last night as we were wowed by almost 10 performers!

This cast has some star power. 😎

We’ve featured a handful of our fabulous understudies here but there are a handful not pictured such as:
Ethan Dilday - Lurch US
David Burney - Mal US

Have you seen this Production Team!!!!

This isn’t your average Addams Family. 🖤

While we’re keeping all the heart, humor, and wonderfully weird spirit that makes The Addams Family so beloved, our production team is taking some fresh takes, including creative choices you may have never seen in the show before!

One of the biggest? Our Ancestors.

Traditionally, the Ancestors are written as specific characters and identities. In our production, our directors are doing something a little different. Rather than asking our actors to fit predetermined Ancestors, each Ancestor will be created around the individual performer: their personality, strengths, talents, movement, and the unique energy they bring to the Addams world.

But we aren’t stopping there.

Our Ancestors will be woven into the story in new and creative ways throughout the production, becoming an even bigger part of the world unfolding onstage. They’ll help bring moments to life, add new layers to the storytelling, and pop up in places you might not expect.

Every Ancestor will have an identity and personality of their own; and every actor will have the opportunity to make their Ancestor completely unique.

It’s just one of the ways we’re putting our own spooky, unexpected stamp on this production while staying true to the heart of the characters and story everyone loves.

You may know the Addams Family… but you haven’t met this Addams Family yet. 🕸️🖤 by @artsonepresents

🖤🖼️ CALLING ALL CURIOUS COLLECTORS OF CREEPY DÉCOR! 🖼️🖤

Arts One Presents is on the hunt for gold and gilded picture frames for a very special public art installation in support of The Addams Family, and we need your help with a little more magnificently macabre flair. 🕸️✨

Have an ornate gold frame gathering dust in an attic, closet or garage? We'd love to borrow it! Frames can be empty, no artwork or glass needed. The more interesting, ornate and wonderfully old-fashioned, the better! All sizes welcome!

📍 FRAME DROP-OFF
September 23 & 24 | 10 AM–5 PM
Arts One Presents Office
111 W. Emma Ave., Suite 202
Springdale, AR 72764

🚪 Where to go: Enter through the back of the building on the parking-lot side and look for the white door with a sign in the window. We'll have a drop-off box just inside the door, or you're welcome to come upstairs and see us—we're to the left at the top of the stairs.

Can't make those times? No problem! If you'd like to coordinate a pickup or another drop-off time before September 25, email sierra@artsonepresents.org and we'll arrange it with you individually.

All frames should have your name and phone number or email address adhered to them when you deliver, so we can get them back to you.

🖼️ All borrowed frames can be returned by December.

So raid the attic. Check the guest room. Question Grandma about that suspiciously ornate frame she's had since 1964. 👀

Your forgotten frame just might find new life in the delightfully dark world of with AOP this fall!

Shakespeare in the Park is over but as the Black Eyed Peas one said… “The energy never dies” ✨

The park welcomed over 300 guests today for our show and we are speechless with the reception and warm words received from everyone. 🩷

We ALREADY can’t wait till next year when we can do it all again! What would you like to see??? 👀

Thank you, thank you as always for showing our community that the arts is more than alive and well in NWA; it’s THRIVING 🤩 taken in Luther George Grove Street Park by @artsonepresents
