🕺🎞️!

how lucky i am to dance through life (with exceptional company, no less!) by @artsytyler

I am humbled to be selected as a @pghbiztimes 2026 30 Under 30 honoree.

In the various roles I’ve served, I’ve been fortunate to experience how fulfilling it is to be in community, especially while engaging in the arts. From dancing with community members at a local church in Pittsfield to welcoming first-time students to the Cultural District in Pittsburgh, I’ve witnessed how the arts can provide the community with joy, inspiration, solace, and wonder. There is simply nothing more rewarding than watching a person realize their power, explore their creativity, and embrace the community around them in real time.

If you know me, chances are you know how integral the arts have been to my life. Some would say I’ve been singing since I could speak and dancing since I could walk— loudly, at that. Theatre, visual art, and dance have acted as more than just activities in my life; they’ve been a vital aspect of my personhood. I have been shaped not solely by these practices, but specifically by the teachers, mentors, friends, loved ones, and strangers I’ve met in these spaces. My hope is that, even if only in some small way, I can help inspire the same feelings of pride, love, and community in others.

It bears repeating that I would not be who or where I am today without the people in my life. To those who have loved, supported, encouraged, and guided me in these past 25 years: thank you, sincerely. It is because of you that I feel empowered to continue the work.

In perhaps my favorite song in the musical theatre canon, we’re reminded that “alone is alone, not alive.” I hope that I may continue to feel alive, connected, and supported and to provide those feelings for others.

Last night, I was honored by the @pghbiztimes as a 2026 Pittsburgh 30 Under 30 honoree alongside 29 incredible leaders. The evening showcased the next generation of leaders currently initiating change, in a myriad of industries, in the Steel City. I feel extraordinarily privileged to be considered among such dedicated and inspiring young professionals. These folks are doing the good work, and we as a community will surely benefit from it! Congratulations to all the well-deserved honorees and thank you to the folks who came to support me— I wouldn’t be who or where I am today without your love, support, and guidance!
