Registration is open for ArtTable's 2026 Annual Leadership Series Program: The State of American Art.
🗓️ October 8, 2026 at 6:30 pm
📍 Hauser & Wirth, 18th Street

The program will explore how “American art” is being defined, contested, and reimagined at a moment of profound cultural and political division. Through this lens, the program will examine the intersections of art, identity, power, and civic life—asking who shapes cultural narratives today, whose voices are amplified, and how institutions and the market are responding to a rapidly shifting national landscape.

The discussion will be followed by a wine reception at Hauser & Wirth 18th Street's iconic Roth Bar.

For more than six decades, Suzanne Jackson (b. 1944) has created lyrical, awe-inspiring paintings shaped by her deep respect for the natural world and persistent belief in the interconnectedness of all living things. As a Black artist, she has said that “it’s political to make an artwork about peace and beauty” as a reflection of “some other ways of being.” The first retrospective devoted to the full breadth of the artist’s career, “Suzanne Jackson: What Is Love” celebrates her groundbreaking vision through more than 60 paintings and drawings that make innovative use of color, light, and structure.

The exhibition opens September 26 at MFA Boston.

Last week in Los Angeles, ArtTable members Shelley De Soto and Juliet Rofe welcomed members and arts professionals from across the community into Shelley’s home for an evening of cocktails, conversation, and golden-hour connection.

To inaugurate its new space at 25 Greene Street in SoHo, Garth Greenan Gallery is pleased to present “Rosalyn Drexler: My Life Has a Life of Its Own,” a major exhibition dedicated to the Bronx-born artist and curated by Fiona Laugharn.

The exhibition offers a detailed overview of Drexler’s landmark Pop work of the 1960s. Featuring private and institutional loans, the show reunites several important works and series from this generative decade. To augment these iconic paintings, the show also presents a selection of never-before-seen drawings, objects, source imagery, and journals.

“Between Here & Infinity: Celebrating 30 Years of the Spelman College Art Collection” is grounded in dreaming and the Black feminist imagination, exploring ways of knowing, seeing, and creating, shaped by Black women’s lived experiences.

“Between Here & Infinity” presents artworks drawn from the permanent collection, organized by areas inspired by the layers of Earth’s atmosphere to gesture toward the vast and diverse qualities of the Black feminist imagination which shapes it: the Root, works that ground the collection in origin and tradition; the Threshold, works that evoke crossings through transitional space; the Interior, works that turn inward toward intimacy and quietude; the Expanse, works that are conceptually daring and electric in color; and the Horizon, where the past meets the future and dissolves into limitless possibility.

The exhibition closes December 5.
