The very first of the sweetpeas are always a treat. Especially when paired with my favourite mini vase by @glosterspottery . Sweetpeas are one of my favourite flowers and fill the room with scent even with just a few stems. I’ve always wanted to try to capture them in a painting so I’m hoping they will still be going strong when me and @artwork.rhiannon run our workshop at the end of the month. We only have four spaces left if you fancy joining us to learn some new skills in floristry and art. You will also have a beautiful vase full of flowers and a painting you will be proud to frame to take home with you.

Flowers & Painting workshop with @artwork.rhiannon at Blodau Caredig 🌸

To finish off a week of 40th celebration, I invited Rhiannon to the farm to hold a painting workshop for me and my family 🫶 I let them loose on the flower field (!) and then we got creative, with brilliant guidance from Rhiannon. I’ve always got it into my head that I can’t draw, but Rhiannon made us all feel relaxed at once and we all suprised ourselves I think!

One of my personal highlights was hearing my dad say how much he enjoyed and realised he hadn’t painted a picture for 50 years.

It was so lovely being outside, and the quiet calm that we found. Such a lovely afternoon, diolch Rhiannon 🫶🌸

Petals & Paint is back!

After being such a hit last year I’m teaming up again with local artist Rhiannon Collins.

We’ll start with a bring your own vase flower arranging session, where you’ll learn simple, sustainable techniques before heading into the field to cut your own seasonal blooms.

After tea and homemade cake, you’ll be guided through creating a mixed media painting inspired by your freshly arranged flowers.

You’ll head home with:
✨ A beautiful vase of hand-cut flowers
✨ Your own finished painting
✨ New skills and a big boost of creative confidence

A relaxed, feel-good afternoon of flowers, art and creativity.
