Another very delayed September - October Highlights post :par 1. From attending many gigs from North to South with friends alike to battling out monsters on Resident Evil.

Plus watching the new Lizzie Borden Monster story together with my Mum was a highlight.

Then I found myself making art again, attending Val's marvellous flatwarming party (forgot to take pics again 😭) and spent my time exploring the Enchanted Forest.

Once again, please tell me to take more photos as I do forget. by @artworkcraftwork_jb

Piece :"The Rift : #2" (2026).
Materials and medium : MDF, grapple wire and cotton cords /rope. Installation and sculpture.

In the digital realm, our perception of image and body is shaped by a collaborative performance film that subverts and inform their audience about the socio-political issues in queer theory and Transgender autonomy within a Heternormative world. This forces the viewer to piece together the answers, much as you would decipher a code in a escape room, allowing for deeper engagement emotional resonance with their artwork.

There is a sense of entrapment cleverly curated a series of choreographed dance pics and their use of fragmented, spoken storytelling. Through the figurative playful wooden light boxes, with the footage of the performance becoming a distorted and abstract. The artist explores feelings of being in limbo, encouraging appreciation and curiosity amid the chaos

It has definitely been one of the best filming and art projects that I have worked on in a long time. Thank you so much to everyone, who has been part of the filming process and/or have come to see my sneak preview at the degree show. It means a lot m

Hopefully, I can develop a sequel soon to continue the story even further, so fingers crossed. Not making any promises butt 👀👀👀 never say never by @artworkcraftwork_jb

Title: "The Rift"
(Installation overview) (2026)
Matetials : MDF, grapple wire, cotton rope and cords.

Jacobinia Bridge is a queer and non-binary multidisciplinary artist, who is drawn to their deep interest in science fiction and queer theory that is explored through their use of speculative, visual storytelling and worldbuilding.

To challenge and reimagine the heternormative /cisgender structures about sexuality and gender. As well as highlights that art serves as a disjunctive unity that challenges and upends our underlying beliefs, feelings or social circumstances. The artist integrates digital and physical realms of media, including sculpture, projection and performance, to transform mundane, empty architectural spaces into Dystopian, futuristic worlds, using interactive and immerisve elements of engagement through a queer lense.

Thus, tranaporting the viewer from a passive observer to an active participant whose reaction to it becomes part of the artwork as it shapeshifts into another form. The artist uses woodwork and three-dimensional constructions that occupy the surrounding vacant space, cleverly using light and shadow to highlight the theatricality agasint a lo-fi, hybrid quality in the artwork.
