Stoked to have taken home 2 awards this past weekend at the @allamericantattooconvention. This was my first time entering a competition, and there was a lot of incredible tattoos up there. I went into it without any expectations, and was just happy to have created a tattoo that was appreciated by many artists and collectors.
🥈Second Place: Best large black and grey portrait
🥈Second Place: Best overall male

Huge shoutout to @kylecurtisvanderwalker for being so dedicated to this project, and making the drive from Charlotte to spend the day at the convention. We started this project in January, and have about 1 more session on the inner thigh and this leg sleeve will be all wrapped up.
•
Also, shoutout to my team @alluringartstattoo . These guys have pushed me so much this past year to develop my skills, artistry, confidence, and creativity, and I’m excited to keep growing on this momentum.
•
I’d love to add more large scale, black and grey realism work like this into my portfolio. If you’re eager to complete a project of this nature, don’t hesitate to reach out! arvaytattoos.com - Link in bio

🧙‍♂️Thats a wrap for this leg sleeve.🪄 Kyle was nice enough to stop by the shop so I could take some pictures of the entire piece fully healed. I can’t thank him enough for his dedication over the course of these past 5 months, and allowing me take creative control to do my thing.

🎨I’m extremely eager to create more large scale tattoo projects, where I can push myself compositionally and creatively. If you have something in mind, or are open to letting me create something unique of my own for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out!

Figured maybe I should attach a face to the case:
•
My name’s Connor, I’m 27 years old, I’m originally from Rochester, New York, and I’ve been tattooing professionally for 3.5 years. My journey began while attending West Virginia University, when I thought it would be a good idea to tattoo myself (it was). It turned out halfway decent, and a handful of my friends asked to tattoo them. I told them no because I had no idea what I was doing, and didn’t have intentions of tattooing anyone else. Long story short… they made me tattoo them, and I’ve never looked back since. I give a lot of credit to the ones that had me do my first tattoos, and pushed me into the art. After failing out of business school and eventually earning a bachelor’s degree in graphic design, I began my professional career. My favorite tattoo styles are black and grey, portraiture, realism, blackwork, fine line, floral, and dotwork. That being said, I’m extremely grateful for any opportunity to learn something new, and strive to continue to learn everyday and become a well rounded artist in all styles.
•
Why do I tattoo? Sure, it’s tons of fun, but I cherish the truly meaningful tattoos I get to do for people when given the opportunity. Often times, tattoos are used to heal, grieve, deal with hardships etc. When I finish a tattoo of such, and see a genuine smile and reaction on my client, it leaves me with a sense of fulfillment that is incomparable to anything else I’ve experienced. It seems like my way of helping others, and helping myself in turn. Of course it’s my priority to give you the best tattoo of my abilities, but as equally important, I want everyone who enters my space to feel comfortable, respected, heard, and valued.
•
Although it seems like all I do is tattoo (not complaining - it’s the best job in the world), in my free time I enjoy grabbing some beers and watching sports with my friends, going to concerts, traveling when I can, or doing anything that involves the outdoors.
•
Enough about me… send me a message, or stop by the shop @alluringartstattoo and lets talk about your next tattoo!✍️🎨 by @arvay_tattoos

Every tattoo that I do gets an upfront price, whether it’s the shop minimum or my full day session. This way, there are no surprises, and you know how much you are paying from the get-go.
•
I think transparency and communication is very important throughout the entire process and experience. I try my best to work efficiently, but never strive to be the fastest artist on earth. My only concern is providing an end result that we are both proud of.

💡I always want to ensure that we have a transparent conversation throughout the entire process to allows us to achieve a like-minded goal and end result.
•
In order to yield the best result, I take my clients idea and suggest alterations based on my knowledge and skill. I don’t suggest changes based on what I like; but make them with my clients best interests based on their ideas.

My client came to me with a large open area on her inner bicep, and asked me if I could complete her sleeve by filling the space a wolf. Here’s what we came up with!🐺

Soft, delicate, and detailed. Fine line floral tattoo done right - saturated, crisp, thin lines, with stark contrast.🌺
