I’m headed back to Iceland next week and realized I still have quite a few from my trip last October to edit so I edited a new one which is the first in this carousel. The remaining ones I have posted before. I still have a few more to edit from last year so I’ll be trying to get to them during my travels. Finished editing one from my September backpacking trip in the Sierra Nevada so here is a new one as well as the others I have taken in the past. This is only my second summer backpacking in the Sierra so I hope to do much more next summer ! I have one more trip this weekend so hopefully I will get a photo there!

It rained a lot where I live in Vegas last night so I’m keeping my fingers crossed for more fall and winter rain so we have a beautiful desert spring 🤞🌸 taken in Sierra Nevada Mountains by @arwin.l

Feeling a little stressed that I am leaving tomorrow for Spain and I haven’t had time to edit my photos from Peru. Things have been so busy this summer and I don’t think it’s going to slow down until mid September. So here are some photos I have taken in the past from outside the USA. I wrote a caption for each photo (twice because I was almost done and they all got erased) so pls read them. First up is Iceland in 2025.

I was lucky to hike to Larch Valley in Canada 2023 when the Larches were golden. Unfortunately it was pretty overcast. This was before I started focusing on my fitness so I’d love to go back now and try again.

Also from Canada, in early 2021 when they were still requiring Covid testing, I was treated to this beautiful sunrise with the crescent moon. This one is meant to be viewed in landscape orientation and was cropped.

I also travelled to Iceland in 2021. I had envisioned photographing Hvitserkur with lines in the sand leading to it but even though I was there at low tide I guess it wasn’t low enough so instead I photographed it with the lines of the water. This one is also cropped from landscape orientation.

On my way to Iceland I stopped in the UK to visit the Durdle Door and I was treated to my favorite kind of sunset where the sun peeks out from under a heavy bank of clouds. Also cropped from landscape orientation.

In 2019 I had a quick European overview and this one is from Switzerland. I am excited to be returning to Switzerland in a couple weeks as I feel my photography has improved a lot and hopefully I will get some photos I like even more !

My first time seeing golden Larch trees was in 2019 in the Dolomites. I’d love to get back to the Dolomites but now my dream is to be there in July among the flowers.

One of my favorite stops on my 2019 European jaunt was the south coast of Portugal, the Algarve. Possibly even more than the rugged coastline, the grilled fish I ate was my favorite part.

Another one from Switzerland in 2019. I won’t be visiting this spot again but I would love to go back there sometime and explore some different comps.

In 2019 I also visited Australia and New Zealand. One of my favorite parts was seeing the taken in Iceland by @arwin.l

We are halfway through 2026 and since I am behind on my editing I thought I’d post my favorite shots I have taken this year. I have used the new feature of adding a caption for each photo… The first one is flowers at Monument Valley. I went on a tour for sunrise and found this comp I absolutely love with the lines in the sand and the primrose leading to Yei Bi Chei and the Totem Pole. Taken in April 2026.

Another one with Primrose, this one was taken earlier in April at a formation in Utah I really love and have been wanting to get a photo of for a long time.

Taken in May, i was happy to find the mules ear in bloom in Cathedral Valley in Capitol Reef National park in Utah. If you look closely you can see other plants in the background and the clearing storm created a dramatic sky.

Also in Utah, factory butte with mud cracks…

The best bloom I found near(but outside) Death Valley National Park during the superbloom this year in March.
