Radiant emergence from the core. Luminous in our gather. A truth that reaches beyond time. A touch that reaches beyond skin.
Everything you touch you change. Everything you change, changes you.

Transform yourself to transform the world.

The war on drugs will never be won.

My people are dying by the hundreds of thousands, and we know that criminalization of substances just makes them more potent and deadly.

It’s time to send the police home and focus on research based interventions. These are our family member dying…. Incarceration will never be the solution.

I blame America, capitalism, Walmart, and the pharmaceutical companies…. And still feel like it’s my crisis to do something about.

People shouldn’t detox in jail cells. We shouldn’t punish the must vulnerable among us for their pain. These people dying are our family, our friends, our community. They are US. by @ary.ori

The gift was IN the giving selflessly, yet the blessings continued to unfold as our relationship grew; the gift was IN the receiving graciously. by @ary.ori

We are not in this journey alone. Our closest kin have evolved talents of sensing their outer worlds. Perhaps our breath is a sort of internal echolocation.
To see beyond what eyes have seen and dare to dream of what can not be held.

May this story shape us, and may we shape the world.

Inspiration from @alexispauline and her book Black Feminist Lessons from Marine Mammals.
As well as her research on Sylvia Wynter.

Natural clay is a fickle lover full of heartbreaks. It requires surrender. It requires a constant embodied listening merged with a shaping and guiding.

Clay is Inherently DIALECTIC; meaning that Domination is not a valid modality in this relationship. It is PRAXIS. It is Shaping Change while Changing Shape.

From seeking, to harvesting, to cleaning, to mixing and then to the week of processing… it’s all about listening to the land with the body.

Fingertips reading the slightest imbalance in the spinning. The world is spinning. The mud in my hands is an oracle. A connection point, an ancestor, a teacher, a ceremony, a play date, a meditation, a time capsule, a mirror, a historical artifact, a cleansing.
An offering to the fire.

A tiny wing angel fell from the sky, and changed my life. the attention and care of feeding Every 15 to 30 minutes taught me some thing about painting as well the long consistency of nurturing something into this world, and the importance of taking breaks and returning, taking breaks, and returning; breathing and patience. by @ary.ori
