A while ago, I walked into Samar’s office and said “I want to make a show about Army Doctors”.
It is my luck and privilege that he not only believed in me but backed me 100% all through the process and brought us on as co-producers.
Samar, there are not enough words to express my gratitude for your faith in me… and for all the times you listened patiently and comforted me while I cried over various things 😂
And there began the journey to this, 108 Base Hospital Uri, that appears before you today.
This show is a true team effort, a labour of love for every single person involved in it.
From Udaay Berry & Mayank Patel working diligently to shape it in a way that truly connects with the audience, to Faizal Akhtar, Sudhir Singh & Sumeet Bishnoi elevating the writing to another level altogether, to Shachindra Vats (truly one of the best directors we have seen in a long time) taking what was on paper and creating magic out of it, Shanu Singh Rajput who’s every single frame in this show is a work of art, Amarbir Bajwa for being the best casting director ever (always smiling and saying “ji, ho jaayega”), Gayatri Singh Khan & Karishma Salian who brought beauty and depth to the characters with their styling and costumes, Fatema Rangila & Kirat Kandhari who painstakingly made sure what was written on paper made it to the screen, Anup Magar Kiran Kadam and the entire production team who are still toiling away as I type this to make sure things happen seamlessly on set, Ajay sir who has created beautiful sets for us … it truly takes a village.
There are so many people involved in making a project like this a reality but it begins with those who believe in the vision and for that I also deeply thank Alok Jain, Sameer Gogate and the entire team at Colors Tv for seeing what we wanted to do and saying “do it for us”.
Thank you also to Aditya Pittie & Epic Studios for everything this show is.
And last but in no way the least, Sameer… who always has my back. Always.
So please, show some love for 108 Base Hospital Uri.

No milestone in my life, no moment in the life I lead today, is complete without heartfelt gratitude for this man.
Sameer is not just my husband, he is my best friend, my confidante, my go-to for everything good and bad, my safe space, my whole heart.
He has patiently and with a ton of love unpacked all my emotional baggage with me and has helped me experience life as it should be- beautiful, fun & joyful.
It’s testament to who he is for me that even when I’m mad with him I want him around so I can feel happy while I’m mad.
On the eve of a new decade in my life all I can say is thank you, Universe, for this one person, this one man, who has made every day magic for me.

When I was young I was extremely acquisitive. Things, expensive things, brought me great pleasure. Handbag, bottles of perfumes from around the world, various gadgets, make-up, clothes… if I could buy it, it made me happy.
Over the years, fortunately (Phew! Thank God!), I came to understand that what really mattered in life were the experiences you had.
And what mattered even more were the people you shared those experiences with.
So here you go- this is an ode to the true treasure I’ve amassed over the last 50 years.
The treasure that is worth its weight in gold.
