INTERVIEWS — The jersey as memory ISSUE 001 — GLOBAL FREQUENCIES Pedro Meroño turned his lifelong passion for football into a career. Starting on the pitch, he played 11-a-side football up to Serie D before becoming a professional Women’s Futsal manager. This coaching path brought him to Milan, opening the doors to the retail industry and allowing him to channel his deep football knowledge into a profession. Today, as a shirt collector and Product Specialist at The Soccer Archive, his work reflects a profound appreciation for the culture, history, and identity woven into the beautiful game. This is not a story about football. This is not a story about music. It’s a story about belonging. Global Frequencies is the first issue of ASAP Project. A photographic exploration of how music, football and culture help shape identity, memory and community. Through headphones, jerseys, record shops, subway rides and everyday encounters, the project looks at the things people carry with them and what those things say before a single word is spoken.
