Hidden away in the mountains of Deep Creek, Maryland sits a place that time seems to have forgotten. An abandoned amusement park, slowly being reclaimed by the trees and the quiet of the mountains.

Oh, MATG, you have a special place in my heart. If I could describe this event to anyone, it would be a drivers' paradise mixed with like-minded people. There is so much to do with so little time, so many people to meet, and drives to go on. I swear I had so many plans, and they just went out the window because I was having so much fun with my friends. You'd need a whole week, maybe two, to talk to everyone and go on all the drives. You'll never meet a more wonderful group of people. Everyone is there for the same purpose: to have fun in the mountains and make new friends. I'm leaving this event with a whole group of new lifelong friends that I was not expecting, and we got to take a day and just explore Gatlinburg after the event finished, and I couldn't be happier with that. Until next year, we all will definitely be back!

Slammedenuff Gatlinburg: A Bittersweet Ending

Words cannot truly express what this event was to me, as nothing can possibly compare to this event. Even with me attending MATG for two years in a row, Slammedenuff GAT is a whole different beast when it comes to car events. This was my second time going, as I skipped 2024 due to the pending controversy of 2023, and looking back, I wish I had gone.

This event was the closest thing to an IRL Forza Horizon festival (FH4 was best), where I could get together with an amazing group of people who I don't normally get to hang out with, or am just meeting for the first time, and have the time of my life.

This event is a bittersweet ending because, even with all of the controversy, our group did our best not to let it get to us and to continue to have the time of our lives. As we stayed long after the weekend, hitting the mountain coaster, go-karts, house parties, and photo shoots, we still managed to have the time of our lives, even when everything surrounding the event was negative.

If I can say anything to make a lasting impression of this event and what it means, be there for your enjoyment of the culture, for your friends, and for your local vendors. Be there because you want to be, not because you want to get famous or get clicks. Be there for the community of wonderful people that enjoy the same things as you.

This isn't the final chapter in my story, but it is the changing of the page, as this shift will be felt throughout the automotive community in regards to events moving forward.

LOE Show highlights! What an amazing weekend, even though I live an hour from the show, I never took the time to check this one out, and boy was I missing out! I got to see a lot of friends and see some insane German builds! I'll definitely be going from here on out; thanks to my friends for pushing me to see this one!

Extremely grateful to be able to attend an event I've heard so much about over the last couple of years. Kickback is everything it's been hyped up to be. @battlegvng.tm, @thekickbackdeepcreek, and @bojengaa do an insane job at hosting a wonderful event in such a cool location. I'm already looking forward to the next one!

Huge thanks to @trill.mike_ for hosting the house and letting me stay again. It's a huge undertaking to bring so many people together, and it's always a blast at the Trill House!

The unsung heroes of the trip were definitely the power couple of @matt_upp and @abbygray53, doing dinners for the whole house and keeping us fed. You guys put a lot of work into the dinners, and I'm glad I could help out where I could!

Onto next year, I will 100% add Kickback to my yearly rotation of mandatory events!

Back in the mountains.
Where the fog lingers, the roads keep winding, and the rest of the world fades away.

I've always felt more at home on empty streets than in crowded rooms. Maybe that's why I find myself behind the wheel after everyone else has gone home. Out here, the quiet reminds me that being alone isn't the same as being lonely.

The moment you realize you can build what you admire is the moment you stop shopping and start creating.

Went into this with the idea of buying a white set of wheels, only to end up working hard and just painting my wheels at almost no cost.
