Varmt välkomna att träffa Åsa Söderman @asatricosa hos mig på Makeri 14!

Åsa har med sig stickade plagg och kommer berätta om sin stickning och sina mönster.

Jag har laddat upp med böckerna ”Ziggurats 16 elegantly seamless knits” och ”Ziggurats colour & texture” - utmärkt tillfälle att fylla på i stickbiblioteket!

Åsa är här lördagen den 24 oktober mellan 11:00 och 13:00 - så kom och lyssna, prata, känn på plagg och bläddra i böcker. Tanken är en ”meet and greet” med trunk show och boksignering! Hoppas ni är lika pepp som Åsa och jag! Och att vi får träffa många av er.

Solids are GOOD (too).
I'm working on my pink solids. One sleeve to go – it's quick work as I'm knitting this Acha on a larger needle – zzzzzzzzzzzooooooom!

Yes, a bit of an unlikely colour choice for me 🙄... but I *think* I'm over the pink-purple overdose from the '70s. Maybe.
(I am NOT over the brown/orange combo. Let it please never make a return.)

Does your bindoff in the round look wonky?
Here's how to CLOSE it NEATLY!

(yarn end extends from the last stitch of the bind off)
🧶 1. thread yarn UNDER the FIRST stitch of the bind off from BACK to FRONT
🧶 2. push yarn back INTO the LAST stitch bound off
🧶3. thread yarn UNDER the NEXT stitch from FRONT to BACK

(weave in the end)

Es gibt Garne, die gefallen einem.
Und dann gibt es Garne, die einen regelrecht anziehen, mit Glanz, Flausch und diesem kleinen Versprechen, dass daraus etwas ganz Besonderes werden könnte.

Dieses „Nur mal kurz anfassen“… und plötzlich hat man schon drei Projektideen im Kopf.

Curly Silk gehört eindeutig zur zweiten Sorte.
Die Seide bringt Tiefe, Schimmer und diesen fast flüssigen Fall. Das Superkid-Mohair legt sich als zarter Flaum darüber, ohne das Maschenbild zu verschlucken. Und die Farben? Sie wirken, als würden sie von innen heraus leuchten.

Und als wäre das nicht schon schön genug, bekommt Curly Silk gleich die passende Bühne: Jolt of Gold, das (nicht ganz) neue Design von @asatricosa , wird aus Curly Silk gestrickt und erscheint zeitgleich mit dem Garn.
Ein Garn für alle, die beim Stricken nicht nur Maschen bilden, sondern Atmosphäre.

⚡️A Jolt of Blue – or a 🪷 Quiet Jolt of faded lilac?
Two yarns, two very different sweaters – but same pattern. From the first Ziggurat book.
• now available as a standalone pattern
What's new?
• rejigged steps – all cap stitches are picked up on Right Side Rows
• sizing expanded upwards (size 10 = 54")
• extra hem option as seen on the lilac sweater – slightly cropped and finished with a split rib
• new photos

😍 The softer than soft sweater in faded lilac is my new favourite sweater.😍 I'm not taking it off! It's knitted with Balayage, a sportweight baby alpaca merino blend from @pascuali_official.

The original Jolt was knitted with another soft yarn with a bit of sproing – Cozy Merino by @WalkCollection.
(Confession: the blue original is not knitted to gauge – oops! 🤭That's why it's a bit tight...🙄)
