Fun little moment today. Just minding my own business when #jeanpool walked by me on the Con floor. I turned around, tapped him on the shoulder pointed down at my full denim outfit, gave a nod and got an excited response & had a little photo session. *I couldn’t believe how well this costume was made, and I told “Canadian Tuxedo Deadpool” to come swing by the @cdglocal892 booth so everyone could check out his construction / craftsmanship of his cosplay… as I was leaving he leaned down and said, “I really am #ryanreynolds I’m just F’n with people.” (😳)
… I said nice to meet you & went on my way. *I honestly thought there could be small chance this was true, sounded like him, but you never know.

I texted my friend @designerjackie in the booth just incase they went over. Then the rest of the day we had a little running bet whether or not it was, in fact the real RR / #Deadpool.

Confirmed: in my work group text hours later, I did indeed meet RR the OG Deadpool on the floor at #sdcc hours before his #HallH appearance.

💥 This is now officially my best Comic Con story ever. “The time I met Jeanpool as denim twins 👯‍♀️!!” ☠️ 🇨🇦 💙😱 ⚔️

Taula (The Prophetess ) is one of my favorite characters I got to illustrate from #Chiefofwar . Played by the talented @roimatafox . Her other worldly qualities were meticulously thought out. Collaborating with Costume Designer @ceselin , we paid special attention to how this character would come to life.
We went through many rounds to find the right silhouette for her. Something natural and supernatural blended together.
From her milky eyes to her floor length hair, woven dress to her adornments, I love how this character came to life on screen. A powerful seer into the future to come for Ka’iana (@prideofgypsies )

Seasons of Lovers [ @hadestown ]

I loved the pro-tape of the Original Broadway cast of #hadestown . There was something magical captured on screen. What a gift for the entire cast & crew to have this version of their story told on film. ❤️ 🎭 🎞️ 🌹

I really wanted to create a fun #Hadestownfanart piece to show the not so quiet love story of #persephone , played by the lovey Amber Grey, and #hades , played by the powerful Patrick Page. These two stole the show for me! One with a busted foot and the other playing all out! Love is a tragedy sometimes…and yet they still had hope for next year. (Fun fact: as a kid I was obsessed with #greekmythology ! I loved that all the stories were tied so closely to nature. )

The visuals of this production were easy to transport you from above ground to down below… 6’ down below 💀

“Thank You for your service“

Some of you may know that my Dad is a 9/11 Survivor.

Some of you might have heard me talk about his story and how he survived a plane hitting the command he was stationed in at The Pentagon.

Some of you may know that when I found out what was happening that morning, I was sitting in my physics class my Junior year of Highschool, wearing a toga. (It was Spirit week.)

Some of you may know that my family did not know where my Dad was or if he had survived for almost 3 days.

Some of you might know that if my Dad was sitting at his desk, instead of walking in a hallway near by, he would not be here.

Some of you might not know that my family had gifted my Dad a brown leather briefcase with his initials J.L.B. embossed in gold under the handle. A briefcase he brought to work every day for years and sat it next to his desk.

Some of you might not know that after 9/11 my Dad never saw 56 of his co-workers again… or the brown briefcase that was sitting in his office.

Some of you might not know that my Dad went to every funeral, of every co-worker who tragically passed away. He sat with and held the hands of the widows, widowers and families as he was the Commander of his staff.

Some of you might not know that my Dad, Captain Jeffrey L. Boroff never carried a briefcase again. Instead he carried his work in an ordinary plastic Thank You bag.

“Thank You for your service”
Is my way to create a piece of art for my Dad and for all the lives lost on 9/11.

You never know someone’s story. And this is the story of a Man, a Father, a Capt., a Survivor, who carried his work in plastic bag, cause nothing could replace what was lost.

It was so much fun getting to collaborate with @anneyatco on this 1970s inspired #ChieSatonaka poster for her upcoming video game, #Persona4Revival ! This was a unique and fun project to work with my dear friend celebrating her newest video game voiceover character (launching Feb 2027). One of my favorite lines from the movie @projecthailmary (not in the book) was when Rocky told Grace that 186.3 years “is not enough” [time for Adrian.] 🥹 This line hit me right in the gut… from an alien rock-spider 🪨! Our time & love is all we have to give to others truly. @comic_con 2026 with the @cdglocal892 was a 6-day whirlwind! (And I wouldn’t have it any other way.) Thank you to our amazing Comic Con Committee who work together to educate and empower Costume Designers, Asst. CD and Costume Concept Artist-Illustrators and our entire community! It’s so fun to interact with all the CosPlayers who re-create their favorite characters and very cool when they get to meet the Designers behind their favorite characters!

I had fun rooming with @27crossroads 📚 🫶🏼 , silly shenanigans with @deegrahamcostumes @designerjackie @lb_426 @catvelosa & @tessa_hunt_ ! Thank you all for bringing the laughter to the Con. And for @ivythaide & @illustratedbygina for always keeping it classy 😏 ! We had so many amazing Costume teams at the con this year lead by CD’s @cate.adair & @traycegigifield 👏 . Always a pleasure to hang with my fellow illustrators ✍️ @imarioart @jasecastagna @xandersmith_design Jennifer @maybellepineda @phil_boutte & @neysabove 🎨 !

Here’s a little #bts of how I made my @projecthailmary fan art posters. I started with a spark✨ , then just started playing with #watercolors (which I haven’t done in ages) Next, I began playing around in @procreate. I cut down the clip, but I spent the afternoon just letting myself try new ideas. By the evening, I was cleaning up my layers and tweaking things just a little in @photoshop . I had so much fun just exploring yesterday. No deadlines, no brief, just me and an empty canvas. 6 versions are up on my @etsy shop - link in bio. Sometimes you have to just have fun and play around. I have seen and read #ProjectHailMary / @projecthailmary and I have to say it lit a creative spark in me. ✨ This touching story about an unlikely friendship in Space was just what I needed right now. I had fun coming up with a few Fan Art prints for this Movie / Book. I took elements from the film and mixed it with the vastness of uncharted galaxies.

✨ Fun note; this is a mixed media piece. I painted the Space background in watercolors while in Oceanside, CA with the @wildbunchfam (Sometimes free painting leads to a spark, that leads you down a path of inspiration 🤩.) I worked on these pieces by the sea, in the air on a @delta flight and in my studio. It’s taken me a long while to get back to making art just for fun. And I like it! ✨

If you haven’t read the book or seen the movie, I highly recommend this touching story by @andyweirofficial .
