You can’t recreate a classic. You can honor its spirit while creating something that speaks to right now.

For the Los Angeles Times, Creator and Showrunner Felicia Pride opens up about the intention behind bringing A Different World to a new generation, building a series that feels fresh and current, while holding onto the heart, culture and intergenerational connection that made the original so special.

“How can we capture that spirit and hopefully have a show that young people today can see themselves in, and that people [who watched the original] can also enjoy and be proud of?”

Head over to the LA Times to read and pick up a copy in this weekend’s paper! ✨

Shamon Brown Jr. has been committed to the craft since the age of five. growing up on stages, television sets and in productions that have shaped the artist he is today.
He recently sat down with the NAACP’s Arianna Drummond for Inside the Industry to reflect on the journey, the work and everything that comes with choosing this career.
The Chi may have come to an end, but Shamon is just getting started. One thing’s for sure and two things for certain: he’s committed to the work and excited for everything that’s ahead. by @ascend_pr

Congratulations to Jill Scott on being named to Billboard’s R&B Hall of Fame.

26 years in, Jill is still having fun, still following her creative compass and still moving with purpose.
In conversation with @therealcl24, the Philly native reflects on a career that has never simply been about making music; the work has always been mission-driven.

The impact speaks for itself.

26 years down, and Jill is still doing it her way. R&B Hall of Fame, indeed🏆✨ by @ascend_pr

Randall Park is LA through and through! He shared his perfect Sunday with the Los Angeles Times; pastries, La Brea shopping, a Dodgers game (with Dodger Dogs and nachos, of course), or a live jazz show in Pasadena. In Randall we trust! #randallpark by @ascend_pr
