You can’t keep showing up for everybody else and forget to show up for YOU. 🎯

As musicians, we pour so much into our craft, our calling, and the people counting on us. But sometimes the biggest commitment you can make is to yourself.

Even when motivation is low. Even when progress feels slow. Keep showing up. Keep growing. Keep Chasin’ Somethin’. 💯

🎸🔥 Sometimes you don’t need a whole lot of words… just a bass, a groove, and a reminder that LORD, YOU ARE GOOD! 🙌🏾

Through every high, every low, every win, and every lesson, one thing remains the same: God has been faithful! 🙏🏾

💬 Let’s talk in the comments: What’s ONE thing God has been good to you through this year? 👇🏾 I wanna hear your testimony! Follow the journey and subscribe on YouTube for more bass, music, and real conversations! Link in bio!

Keep growing. Keep grooving. Keep Chasin’ Somethin’. 🎸🔥

Can we talk about something real quick? 🎸

Just because you’re playing every weekend doesn’t mean you’re growing.

And I’m saying that to myself too.

You can know every song on the setlist, play with some incredible artists, and still have areas of your craft that need work.

Sometimes we get so busy doing what we know that we stop challenging ourselves to learn what we don’t.

That goes for bass players, drummers, singers, engineers… ALL of us.

I’m learning that the goal isn’t to be the best person in the room. It’s to keep becoming a better version of myself every time I walk into one.

So here’s my question:

If you could improve ONE thing about your musicianship right now, what would it be?

Tone? Timing? Technique? Creativity? Confidence? Listening?

Drop yours below. No judgment over here. We’re all still learning. 🤝🏾

Keep Chasin’ Somethin’. 🎯

Everybody’s chasin’ somethin’. 💭

For some, it’s a dream they’ve had since they were kids. For others, it’s a better life for their family, peace of mind, financial freedom, or simply becoming who God created them to be.

Me? I’m still figuring some things out, still learning, still growing, and still chasing the things God placed on my heart.

And if there’s one thing this journey has taught me, it’s that you don’t have to have it all together to keep moving forward.

That’s what Chasin’ Somethin’ is about. The wins, the losses, the lessons, and everything in between.

I know I’m not the only one out here working toward something bigger.

So I wanna hear from y’all… What’s ONE thing you’re chasing in this season of your life? 👇🏾

Big or small, drop it in the comments. You never know who might need to hear your story or realize they’re not chasing alone.

Let’s keep chasin’. 🖤

Y’all already know me… but I figured it’s time to let you in on something a little closer to my heart. ❤️🎶

I’ve been blessed to live, learn, grow, and experience this music journey in ways I never could’ve imagined. And trust me, it hasn’t all been pretty. There’ve been wins, losses, lessons, and plenty of moments that taught me more than any applause ever could.

So I wanted to create a little space for that. A place where we can talk about the music, the business, the mistakes, the growth, and everything that comes with chasing something you believe in.

I’m calling it Chasin’ Somethin’.

Nothing fancy. No pretending to have it all figured out. Just real experiences, honest conversations, and hopefully a few gems that’ll help somebody coming up behind me along the way.

If you’ve ever been chasing a dream of your own, you’re in the right place. Pull up a chair. We’ve got a lot to talk about. 🤎🎸

Welcome to Chasin’ Somethin’. Let’s grow together.

A NEW ERA IS HERE. 👑🎸

The grind was relentless. The belief had to be stronger than the doubt. And the work that nobody saw? It was building something bigger than anyone could see.

From being overlooked to stepping into the rewards of the work, this next chapter is about purpose, perseverance, and representing my city with pride.

I’m not chasing validation—I’m coming for everything I’ve worked for. Leveling up. Moving different. Walking like a king. 👑

🎥 Follow my YouTube page—more content is coming soon.

The new era has officially begun.

30. 🥂🎂

Man… 30. 🤧

I’ve been sitting with this one for a minute because when I look back at everything it took to get here, I can’t do anything but be grateful. The highs, the lows, the wins, the losses, the lessons, the people who stayed, the people who left, and every version of me in between.

There’s still so much I’m believing for. So much I want to experience. So much I’m still becoming.

But today, I’m just thankful for the opportunity to turn the page and start another chapter. ❤️‍🔥

30 years down. A whole lot more story to tell.

Thank you to everybody who has loved me, supported me, prayed for me, laughed with me, cried with me, and helped me become who I am.

Love y’all. 🤞🏾❤️

Here’s to 30. 🥂
Let’s keep chasing something. 👑✨🎸 by @ascottbass

And just like that… we made it to the LAST DAY. 🥹✨

This video will always be a special one to me because, honestly… it blew up completely by accident 😂

I NEVER post on Sundays, but I happened to wake up WAY too early 🤣 and had a little free time, so I figured, “Why not?” And somehow, y’all took that little Sunday moment and turned it into something way bigger than I expected. 🥹

So before we close out this little journey, I just want to say THANK YOU. 🤍

Thank you for watching.
Thank you for laughing with me.
Thank you for reminiscing with me.
Thank you for encouraging me.
And thank you for reminding me that there’s still SO much more to chase.

This countdown may be over… but the journey definitely isn’t.

30 is here. 🥹✨
And I’m just getting started.

Here’s to everything we’ve been through, everything we’ve learned, and EVERYTHING still ahead.

So much more to chase.
So much more to create.
So much more to become.

CHASIN’ SOMETHIN’ — always. 👑✨🎸

Thank you for coming along for the ride. ❤️ by @ascottbass
