Wet vs dry tourqe, it applies to more areas than just smithing. It is a minute detail that I have not always known about. I hope this was educational for you. by @asdac59

Better than what it was, but theres room for improvement in my craftsmanship. Metal finishing is super cool and a giant part of gunsmithing. Some things are easier to finish than others, this peice was particularly challenging because of all the angles and rounded surfaces present, as well as the different levels of rust that had been on the component. I couldn't quite get the color even in a few spots. #craftsmanship #smithing #tradeworkers by @asdac59

This is not a dig at anyone, this certainly is not a dig at this riser, I love them. They are the only riser I put on weapons that have a need for them, the other risers I have used do not give an adequate connection to the weapon with a cheek weld. Most sit behind the cheek more towards the neck. This one is the only one I have found that even though needs modifying (for me) it still provides adequate connection.

However I have gotten this comment on one of my own videos, as well as had people talk with me in other comments sections about the topic of the video. Knowledge is power, have the day you deserve. by @asdac59

Its a honest, but can be a costly mistake. It can speed up the wear on your rifling pretty fast, not to mention potentially damage it. by @asdac59

#ballistic #firearms understanding dispersion can open some doors for you. I will be doing my best in my upcoming video to try to teach, as well as display some dispersion factors. Thank you for your time. by @asdac59

I dont normally do work on this surface, I was afraid my dog might get metal shavings in his paws so I took it outside to cut on. Use the appropriate amount, as well as type of locktight. Good news for most of you is this dosent need to come off often, but these little jobs like this can get crazy fast, as I have shown on this page multiple times at this point. #armoror #gun #smithing by @asdac59

I should have covered space on the rails too. This is a big hurdle I know alot of people face when it comes to rail space for attachments, and hand space with thos3 attachments. It begins to come into play when you are dealing with shorter handguards of course. I am BIG on shooting dominance, if i can help it i will try to do everything within my power to make sure I am maintaining good connection to the weapon instead of loading up a rail and sacrificing that support hand and overbore bone structure. There are ways around it i assure you. by @asdac59

Revelation speeds are important. You can get the velocity number by chronograph, or a rough number from the boxes, or a loading manual. by @asdac59

Lots of pistols are also control feed systems, in relation to the extractor this means the extractor takes positive control of the case while it is being fed into the chamber. Lots of people who dont understand that tid bit there, are usually the ones that have ejection issues due to the life of their extractor being excellerated. Thats why in the video you see me load the pistol with that exact process everytime, with the slide to the rear and letting it strip the round instead of placing it in the chamber already. If you want that extra round (17+1 or whatever else) load it into the mag ltslef instead of having a full mag then adding one to the chamber and dropping the slide. Or dont, I could care less. by @asdac59
