Everything Is Dull - my first full length LP with @zykrmusic is here !

A large part of this record was written in isolation, dealing with isolation. depression does this funny thing where it filters your existence. everything is desaturated. everything becomes dull.
I’ve carried this album on my back for a few years now. I’ve grown with it, grown through it. And I realize now it carried me just as much, providing me a place to process. a means of catharsis.
I hope it gives you what it gave me.

*

As this goes out into the world, I am reminded of all the people in my life without whom this record would not be possible.
@pedrozappa_ and all the zoom calls in the early days of writing. helping me contextualize what I was doing, not to mention his incredible bass playing on Faultline, (its ok) and Beyond Repair.
I’m thinking of all the conversations with @gialina_ when I was writing the words and building the narrative.
The countless hours spent in the studio poring over sensors and building drum kits with @donniehogue , the most incredible drummer I’ve had the fortune to work with.
I’m thinking of the 10 days spent with @anindobose at the studio mixing the record - refining it bit by bit, all the discussions, all the million automations.
Of @beatvince as my constant source of wisdom, lending his golden ears to master the record.
To @pinkstrings who brought the most natural nerdy fierce energy needed to build the live set.
@pdpbeats who stepped in clutch moments to pull off my non-drummer-friendly idm beats.
There’s @ll4nquin who contributed his creativity and ideation to bring the visual world of the album to life and make the beautiful cover art.
@markclaudio with his constant support and help with documentation.
And of course @erinwajufos who’s pushed me and this record from the get go, cinematographer/director/editor/vj/manager/organizer she has been instrumental in more ways than I can name.
I am incredibly grateful to all of you.

* by @aseemsuri
