More pics from Morocco. Aït Benhaddou is an ancient fortified city located on a hill along the Ounila River in Morocco. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its clay buildings and the famous ksar, or fortified village, which has been used as a backdrop for numerous film sets, including figures such as Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and more recently, Game of Thrones. The city has been inhabited since at least the 11th century, and is an example of traditional pre-Saharan architecture. The city's walls and towers have been restored and maintained over the years, and it remains a popular tourist destination.

Atlas Studios is a film studio located 5 kilometres west of the city of Ouarzazate in Morocco. Measured by acreage, it is the world's largest film studio. Most of the property lies in the nearby desert and mountains. Many sets from the filming of various movies remain in place and, because of this, the studio also operates with guided tours and has become a popular tourist destination.
