Wow, what a wild ride this new phase we’re in.

What I’ve sat on the last few weeks:

This phase of life really humbles you. To be someone who can “work hard”, “get things done”, “excel”… this part of your life is almost completely out of your control 😅 and none of those things mean anything.

Labor truly a different story for everyone and is while physically one of the hardest things I’ve ever done, also such an empowering event at the same time. I was lucky enough to share with my love @jpuliche…he honestly pushed just as hard if not harder to be in the moment with me 😂. It was also the part I thought would be the hardest of having a baby, but boy was I wrong.

To physically heal, and learn how to keep a fragile life alive at the same time is probably the craziest boot camp I’ve ever been (still going) through.

Breastfeeding does not come naturally. Whoever said that is lying.

Newborn phase is a WILD ride. I’ve never been more sleep deprived, alert, happy, concerned, all of the emotions at once. While every one says to enjoy it there are moments where it’s so hard to, but then there will be moments where Brooks finally is settled, and the world melts away.

Women are freaking super hero’s with no capes. To all the moms before and after me, I want to hug you, give you a high five, and let you know you’re truly amazing.
Motherhood is so “casual” I misjudged how hard all the “easy” things are.

No one can really explain to you the newborn phase, and if they do, you won’t get it until you’re in it.

Community is everything. So much love to everyone who sent a note of encouragement, love, food, it means the world. I don’t know if I would still have this many marbles without my best friends supporting and cheering me on. Even just a “you’re doing great” keeps my chin up 💕.

You and your partner are a team. Try not to keep score, as long as you’re working together ✨. by @ash.boey

Happy Father’s Day ✨

Ashley (our co-founder) and her Dad at our latest version of the Views Balcony Bar 2.0.

“My dad always believed in me and supported me and my endeavours. When I was 12 years old, I got a newspaper delivery job with the local paper, and he would even help me deliver them - after a long day at work, driving an hour back home through traffic, to help me deliver my newspapers, even in the rain. Never once did he complain.

He encouraged me to do all the things…even creating a product and business, there was never any doubt. After immigrating from Malaysia 30+ years ago, anything was possible for his children!

1. Mountain sunset dinner in Santorini in an old cave house that housed their animals and 🍷

2. Top of Mount Zas in Naxos. Apparently Zeus was born in a cave on this hike. This was a climb 😅

3. Jesse always waiting for me to take pictures of our food. I never post them just have tons of food pictures on my phone for a rainy day 🤣

8. EPIC run along the cliff side of Santorini. If you go, this is a must!! Totally missed this the first time in Santorini.

9. Moon beach in Milos. Forget the real name of the beach. Super cool rocks and gorgeous water.

10. Beach with ladder access on a stormy day was ominous! Tide was coming in here.

13. @jpuliche had a great idea to go swimming at 1am. Workers were not impressed 🤣 “oh sorry didn’t realize the pool was closed”

Visited Paris a little differently, years after visiting for the first time…

1. BIKE culture has exploded! My absolute favorite way to explore a city. Bike lanes were intense…after all they had to built in an already narrow city plan. Bike lanes were shared with busses and all of a sudden switched to across the street…but hey, Saftey in numbers.

2. French butter pastries > all other pastries

3. Ate a ton of food outside of pastries 🤣. I had my share of croissants… but also found a ton of great international eats!

4. Happy hours are SO long here. This one was 3pm-11:30pm. My kind of happy hour.

5. People watching

6. Biking like a local

7. Saw the French open qualifiers. There’s nothing better than sport culture in a different country.

8. Love a good door

9. Came back to this restaurant we saw the night before. First non Asian duck dish I’ve been impressed with 😅

10. French dog 🐶

11. Didn’t realize Paris has a lot of green scapes. We got to see a lot of awesome park spaces by biking through different districts not in super touristy areas and just chill, read a book, nap in the sun, and people watch.
