Would you know when you received a warning from God?

In these pictures, I’m standing in Pompeii.

Pompeii was an advanced city. There were architects, business owners, city planners, families, children, homes, businesses, and pets. Life was happening here!

And before Mount Vesuvius erupted, they received warnings that a big eruption was coming. Strong tremors and the waters boiled for weeks…

Some people fled. Some people stayed.

On August 24, AD 79, which was documented as a gorgeous, perfect summer day, the volcano erupted and devastated this advanced city. Children, homes and pets were all burned. Nobody who stayed was spared.

Standing here today teaches me so many life lessons:
- Heed to a warning
- Move with speed and certainty
- Don’t get attached to worldly things

I’m reminded that one day everything we have, own and possess will remain here. We can’t take any of it with us.

Really reflect on what has God given you warnings about lately?

The next time you feel God warning you to make a destiny move, change direction, leave something behind, or even make what seems like a small move, don’t ignore it.

Make the move.

About 3 hours north of Lisbon is a pretty city called Porto.

Scenic river views, winecountry and gorgeous sunsets.

After the rush in Lisbon, Porto invited me to slow down and experience the Portuguese culture from another lens.

I spent my days wandering on foot, capturing beautiful scenes along the way. I stumbled upon gorgeous parks like Jardins do Palacio de Cristal, where peacocks roam freely.

One afternoon, I learned the art of making pastel de nata in a baking class. And then, a day in the Douro Valley, learning the history behind Port wine and taking in the beauty of the vineyards.

Porto felt like a fairytale. I’ll be back to finish writing this story✨ taken in Porto, Portugal by @asha.b__

We were living in Lisbon! Everything was just right. The sun, the water, the fresh fruit. Moments where I constantly found myself in utter silence to simply take in what was actually happening — answered prayer manifested.

We were living in Lisbon! Celebrating new life, entering years of abundance and success, thanking God for new opportunities. We embraced new seasons and anchored them in new traditions.

We were living in Lisbon! God speaking to us from the sea. Witnessing his miraculous goodness from fishermen catching sardines. Overflow. Abundant. He reminded that He always provides. Not only for you, but for me - for us, for we.

We danced under the summer sun. Cooled down by waves splashing in the sea.
