this saturday, asha opens the night with three-hours of unexpected selections. 𖦹°‧•

a rising force in Montreal’s electronic music scene, asha is a resident and co-founder of ether. originally from toronto but with deep caribbean roots, her sets are a reflection of her rich musical upbringing, fusing bass-heavy, percussion-driven, polyrhythmic sounds that move seamlessly across borders and genres. expect a slow burn through low-end pressure and tangled rhythms.

ˢᵗᵉᵖ ⁱⁿᵗᵒ ᵗʰᵉ ₑₜₕₑᵣ ...

october 10th, ether joins forces with naff recordings for an all-night descent into the deep end. four sets stretching across eight hours, with plentyyyy of room to sink in.

ether’s own @asha.tm opens the night, moving through a space where genre, texture and tempo have no strict boundaries. drawn to weighty low-end, intricate percussion and polyrhythmic movement, her selections drift between the deep, dubby and driving, setting the tone and easing the room into motion.

next, we welcome melbourne duo @okegmusic for a speciaaaall live set. meticulous yet deeply organic, their music folds analog and digital elements into shifting psychedelic forms, moving between introspection and dancefloor hedonism with an unmistakable attention to texture and sound design. with releases on animalia, cirrus, naff and their newly launched GEKO imprint, we’re very excited to experience their world live :).

berlin-based, italy-born @notteinfinita takes us deeper. rooted in sound system culture and an obsession with sound design, his sets move fluidly through hypnotic techno, ambient atmospheres and bass-heavy uk sounds. meditative and euphoric in equal measure, suspended somewhere between dream state and soundsystem pressure.

closing the night is montreal’s @eva.miette . guided by repetition as a vehicle for trance and movement, she explores the places where genres begin to lose their edges. psychedelic techno dissolves into dub, minimal, bass and electro, a slow burn to carry the night into the final hours.

eight hours. four sets. one long descent. see you there…

ˢᵗᵉᵖ ⁱⁿᵗᵒ ᵗʰᵉ ₑₜₕₑᵣ ...

ether returns to système for an all night summer takeover.

joining our resident and co-founder @asha.tm are two very special guests:

@vesolomatelau, the Chicago-via-FL sonic philosopher known for wielding genre like a weapon and co-founding the label GOASM

@epicvirgomoment (DJ DEADNAME) NC-raised, BK-bass’d, a Tossd resident and one half of DAYTONA 500, bringing her signature kinetic collage sound straight from Brooklyn’s underground

expect heavy low-end, boundary-pushing selections, and a night of primal dance floor energy
