We’re still here at The Verandah Resort & Spa and, honestly… we have become very unserious. 😂

Who am I kidding, we have always been this way 🤷🏾‍♀️
Thankfully the amazing staff are all in and joining us in our shenanigans.

Somewhere between the pool, the beach, kayaking, pickle ball, good food, and late-night entertainment, we forgot we were supposed to be acting like adults. 😭

… and having a maaaarvellous time (said like Julie Andrews in The Sound of Music) …lol

This trip has given us the space to rest, reconnect, explore and laugh A LOT — and we’re soaking up every minute of it.

Still here. Still laughing. Still unapologetically unserious. 😂

The sisters are enjoying a little R&R but love the chance to stay active. Even before coming, playing pickleball with my sisters was on my summer wishlist, and what an upgrade for it to happen in Antigua. If you aren’t into pickleball you can canoe or play mini golf or keep it simple and go to the gym. On 30 acres there’s even more to do than this, looking forward to more rest and a little adventure on this getaway. #Antiguanice #pickleballantigua #sistersister taken in The Veranda Resort & Spa Antigua by @ashalapps

I am so grateful to have this opportunity to spend time with my sisters in Antigua — relaxing, resetting, reconnecting and making memories together.

There’s something so special about being able to slow down with the people you love. To laugh, talk, explore, enjoy a beautiful beach day and just be.

Thanks to my cousin Dion for picking us up and taking us out … bringing us mango and tamarin, taking us to get our bun and cheese fix … lol.. even more importantly, taking us to visit with family.

24 hours with my sisters was definitely not enough!

Last month we checked into a beautiful Toronto hotel for a quick little girls’ night to celebrate my sister Shaquilla’s birthday — good food, live music at Union station, lots of laughs, catching up, and that quality time you can never get enough of.

And while I loved our little Toronto escape, it reminded me just how much we need a real getaway.

So… next stop: Antigua and Barbuda! 🇦🇬

I’m so excited to spend a whole week with my sisters, slowing down, soaking up the sunshine, enjoying the beauty of the island, and simply making memories together. Sometimes you don’t need a packed itinerary — you just need your girls, a beautiful place, and time to breathe.

Can’t wait to share this girls’ escape with you — and all the beauty Antigua has waiting for us.

We were checking out of our hotel a few weeks ago and saw this @fifaworldcup display….

Most people would have just taken a picture … we had to act like soccer players.

It’s still Shaquilla aka @ladyq_dj ‘s birthday month. And we are still celebrating her.

Sharing this throwback from last year, when my baby sister had me outside as if I didn’t have a 1 year old that didn’t sleep through the night.

I promise you… I had zero alcohol.. @subriamusic is telling the truth.

If you are wondering why we are like this… it’s partly because we didn’t have cable television for the majority of our childhood. So we had to use our imagination. 🤣

Thanks @seanjonesmusic @aphrosemusic @calvinbealemusic @joeljoseph3560 @chendymus and @palaisroyaleballroom for an incredible night of live music and community…. Event production is a lot of work and we can certainly appreciate when our fellow artists make the effort and take risks in order to create space for others to enjoy themselves.

And thanks @9_mile_ja for late night food.

And shout out to my knees and Asha’s knees too.

But in all seriousness my sisters are incredible and I love them dearly.
