That’s a wrap on Beach 2 Bush for 2026! 🚗🌊 Last week, our lifesavers hit the road, travelling across Queensland to share important beach and water safety messages with more than 6,000 students in regional and rural communities. From beach flags and rescue equipment to staying safe around rivers, creeks, dams and pools, it was a huge week of helping young Queenslanders build practical skills to stay safe around the water. Behind every great event are people who believe in it. This year, we were honoured to welcome the Ash Barty Foundation as the major sponsor of the Braille Literacy Challenge. Since 1964," the Challenge" has encouraged students who are blind or have low vision to develop, refine and celebrate their braille literacy skills. Partnerships like this help ensure students continue to have opportunities to challenge themselves, build confidence, connect with peers and celebrate their achievements. From proud smiles and new friendships to moments of recognition and encouragement, the impact of the day could be seen right across the venue. At the AB Foundation, we’re committed to helping kids in remote areas access opportunities through sport. We’re proud to support the Nhulunbuy locals with new equipment for their Multi‑Sport Community Cyclone Shelter giving kids the chance to play AFL, cricket, rugby, netball, basketball, tennis and more. Practice. Perseverance. A little friendly competition. The first step towards the 2026 Braille Literacy Challenge is underway, with practice booklets making their way to participants this week. While challenge day isn't until 11 September, the preparation starts now. Over the coming weeks, participants will be refining their braille skills and getting ready to take part in one of Australia's biggest celebration of braille literacy. We are proud to support every competitor as they prepare to test their skills, achieve personal goals and be part of this year's Challenge.
