Not me yelling at a book at 2 AM over ONE specific character…😤

Crashed Into My Kismet by S. A. Thomas is an absolute roller coaster of a survival romance.
High stakes, insane tension, and an ending that made me immediately need Book Two

Do you think you could find love on a deserted island while trying to survive?☠️

4/5 stars ⭐⭐️⭐️⭐️
Mark your calendars for Oct 16th!

Finally diving into The Lord of the Rings⚔️🍂🌿 and I already get why everyone treats this series like sacred text
The world-building, the atmosphere, the sheer scale of it, i’m officially hooked (and my sleep schedule is about to suffer)

If you could erase your memory to read ONE fantasy book again for the very first time, would it be this one?

September was a small batch month, but wow....the emotional range! 📚✨

From political satire that made me laugh out loud to a story that genuinely shattered my heart into a million pieces, here is everything I read this month:

🐷 Animal Farm by George Orwell — ⭐️ 5/5

🏛️ Piranesi by Susanna Clarke — ⭐️ 4/5

🚀 Rakshas: The Fall of Halcyon by Ninad Mhatre — ⭐️ 3.5/5

☀️ A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini — ⭐️ 5/5 (and a thousand tears 😭)

Have you read any of these? What was your top read of September? Let’s chat in the comments! 👇

Just finished Rakshas: The Fall of Halcyon and it was such an enjoyable ride! ⚡️
🫠
It hits that perfect middle ground, smooth narrative flow, super engaging world-building, and constant momentum without ever feeling rushed or overwhelming. Overall, an absolute blast of a read.
🫠
No spoilers, but that setup makes me so hyped for Book 2! I really hope the sequel takes things to an even higher level because I need answers on where this world is heading

📌 Save this for your next sci-fi TBR addition!

I don’t usually read poetry, but I really needed a change of pace after reading so many novels back to back.
Deciding to try something new, I picked up The Color of Almost by Bishma Bakeer and it turned out to be a surprisingly light, easy read
🫠
What Worked Well
Super Relatable: The poems connected with me on a personal level at several points.
Simple, Expressive Writing: Bishma does a great job focusing on small, quiet moments and deep feelings without using overly complicated language.
Great Themes: It handles classic topics like love, longing, and self-reflection really well
🫠
Where It Could Improve
A Bit Repetitive: A few poems start to sound similar after a while.
Slower Middle Section: The pacing drags slightly around the middle, and a bit more variety in poem structure would have kept things more energetic
🫠
Final Verdict
Overall, it was a touching and refreshing break from my usual reading list. It's a solid recommendation for anyone wanting an accessible, heart-led introduction to modern poetry by @ashbornpages
