The NFL Smash Station 🏈💥

Chocolate footballs. Goalposts. One very smashable chocolate wall.

For the NFL at the MCG, we wanted to create something guests could experience not simply another dessert to pick up from a table.

Choose your chocolate football, line up the shot and send it through the uprights. Sometimes pastry is delicate… and sometimes it’s made to be destroyed.

A huge creative and technical effort from our pastry team, with special credit to @elenayahnova @nilay_jz for helping bring this slightly mad idea to life.

How did NFL day go? 🏈

From the first kitchen briefing to the final dessert send, this was a huge day for our pastry team at the MCG. A lot of prep, a lot of hands, and some very fun sweets made for the occasion.

Proud of the creativity, care and teamwork that went into it. The finished desserts are great, but seeing the team bring them to life is the part I’ll remember.

The NFL Commissioner came to the MCG last Friday and we made sure the pastry kitchen showed up. 🏈
Full chocolate showpieces — 49ers helmet, LA Rams helmet, an NFL football and goal posts — all handcrafted for the occasion. The detail on these is next level and that’s all down to the incredibly talented @stevensonryanj 🙌
