Empório Aragão x Ashima Kumar. This enchanting collaboration brings together the meticulous hand drawings of Ashima Kumar and the refined aesthetic of Empório Aragão. Inspired by the ancient art of traditional folk patterns, Kumar’s designs weave a tapestry of intricate lines and organic forms, evoking a sense of mysticism and connection to the natural world.

“Inner Light, Unbroken Growth,” is a powerful, universal assertion about the resilience of the human spirit. Even when enveloped by the tumultuous forces of life’s inevitable chaos, the core elements of the self remain inviolable. The golden circle symbolizes the enduring presence of inner light and conviction, while the vertical plants represent the innate ability to grow and flourish regardless of circumstance. The flying birds signify the potential for transcendence—the capacity to rise above and find freedom. This painting is a testament to the fact that inner strength cannot be broken.

Art in motion. Couture without boundaries.

I am beyond thrilled and honored to see my painting, Grow, Transform, Transcend, brought to life on the runway for the Emporio Aragão Haute Couture Resort 2027 collection!

Presented during Paris Fashion Week aboard an exclusive Haute Couture boat floating along the Seine, this special evening gown adaptation is a piece of art that redefines where canvas ends and fashion begins, a physical manifestation of evolution, movement, and elegance.

Thank you to the incredible team at Emporio Aragão for collaborating and turning my vision into wearable magic.

I am delighted and honored to announce that I have received Finalist recognition for the Saint Michel Honor Prize for Lifetime Achievement in Visual Arts.

To be recognized on a global stage alongside such extraordinary talent is a profound milestone in my artistic journey.

On display is my artwork, “The Soft Blue Light” (Mixed Media on Canvas, 60 × 90 cm).

The painting explores a message close to my heart: while our physical forms inevitably fade, the soul’s path toward enlightenment remains timeless, beautiful, and ever-unfolding.

My deepest gratitude to the selection committee, the organizers, and to all who have championed my art over the years.

This isn’t an instant result, it’s my art process, built layer upon layer.

Each stroke informs the next action. Every line responds to what came before. The story keeps building, evolving with every movement of my hand.
I don’t force the outcome; I let the work tell me where to go next.

Impermanence isn’t about losing something, it’s about capturing a moment before it changes.
Six weeks ago, these wildflowers were blooming in the park. In nature, their beauty is fleeting. But with six weeks of intentional, methodical drying, time slowed down, preserving a slice of that temporary beauty to live on in my next painting.

In a fast-paced world that demands immediate results, there’s immense value in slow, deliberate processes. Some creations simply can’t be rushed; they require time to transform.

How do you build patience or embrace slow processes in your own work?

With the Kumar Zen-Fusion Sneakers, Empório Aragão presents a masterclass in "Wearable Zen." Born from a creative dialogue with the artist Ashima Kumar, these sneakers transform a casual staple into a complex study of line and geometry. The deep black sole provides a grounding, architectural foundation for Kumar’s intricate, multi-layered patterns that dance across the upper. Designed for the connoisseur who values comfort without sacrificing intellectual depth, these shoes bridge the gap between gallery-worthy art and metropolitan movement. It is a piece that resonates with maturity and poise, offering a sophisticated maximalism for those who walk through life with a curated eye for detail.
