☀️Don’t start with the actual script.
Say “Okay so”, “hey” or literally anything random first. Get yourself talking then say the actual line. Cut the warm-up out later.

☀️Imagine someone asked you a question.
Instead of presenting the information pretend you’re replying to a friend who just asked you about it. Your tone automatically becomes more conversational.

☀️Know the thought, not every word.
Read the line, understand what you’re trying to say then try saying it once in your own words before recording the scripted version.

☀️Stop recording entire paragraphs.
One sentence then pause and then the next sentence and pause again. Tiny chunks will almost always sound better than trying to nail the whole thing in one take.

☀️Please don’t sit completely still.
Use your hands. Change your expressions. Stand up if you need to even if nobody can see you, it makes a HUGE difference to how your voice sounds.

☀️Talk to one person, not “your audience.”
Imagine you’re sending a voice note to one friend. You’re not giving a speech to 10,000 people, you’re just talking.
