First of the grade!

This line has been my demon for quite some time. After countless sessions last year it feels great to finally put it down. Hopefully the first of many great sends to come soon :)

It is with heavy heart that I share the news that our beloved Hope is no longer with us. Earlier this week she suffered a severe episode of Fibrocartilaginous Embolism and was left fully paralyzed from the neck down. Despite our hopes, her condition continued to deteriorate and we were forced to make the decision that was best for her. She was able to pass peacefully in her favorite corner of the backyard surrounded by family.

Hope had made so much progress since she first touched down in California almost 4 years ago. The once timid girl who was too afraid to step outside her home had become the sheriff of the neighborhood. Bossing around the other dogs and terrorizing all the geckos and rabbits in sight. She was the most respectful dog you could ask for, always collecting her toys after playing, and making sure not to trample the plants as she ran around her backyard.

You taught me so much love, patience, and meeting someone where they are. You changed the way I’ll treat animals forever. I’ll miss staring into your beautiful eyes.

Thank you so much @savekoreandogs_skd for bringing her into our lives. Thank you to all of our friends who loved her despite her never letting you get close enough to pet her. Most importantly of all, thank you to my loving mother @faran_shojaie_honardoost and her husband Oscar who were able to give Hope the loving environment she needed to thrive.

While your time with us was short, your memory will live with us forever.

Hope
