2026 put me on a strange, sacred scale with a feather on the other side and god never let me hear the end of it - how when i crashed down by my own weight i tumbled onto the sands of limbo and scattered my own ashes to the wind. together they alchemized to create gossamer for wings that will take me up and up as a righteous thing. just something i’ve been thinking about lately. by @ashlacr

one week from today - HAVANA DIALECTIC - an ambient musical performance inspired by the soundscapes of Los Angeles, California, and Havana, Cuba. The performance abstracts urban and natural environments local to the two cities as a way of reconciling places of exile and expansion. with live instrumentation by @tate.ec (upright bass) @kryptonite__jerome (saxophone) @zachgotler (percussion) cinematography from Havana, Cuba by @akaluismi additional field recordings from Havana, Cuba courtesy of @tttkay Through found sound, video, poetry, and live musical improvisation, the piece explores new forms of the philosophical “dialectic”: between musician and field recordings; between contrasting urban landscapes; between ideals of advancement and realities of decline. hosted by @wendemuseum as part of their FR/\MEWORKS music series this sunday 1/25 1PM RECEPTION 2PM PERFORMANCE dedicated to my grandma (first slide) x taken in The Wende Museum by @ashlacr
