On Tuesday, October 13, access to the Riverfront through 15th Street will be blocked due to a flood wall training exercise.

Additionally, 43rd Street from Emery to Daniels will be closed starting Tuesday, October 13. This closure is expected to last up to two weeks.

Three steps. Two minutes. One less unknown service line.

Ashland's water quality is excellent, but we need your help to learn more about the pipe that delivers it to your home if it's listed as unknown. Your service line may not contain lead, but the only way to be sure is to identify the material.

We understand that it's easy not to think about how water reaches your tap, but knowing about the pipe running into your home is important. The information can help you make smart decisions about your property, including plumbing, future repairs, or replacements, giving you greater peace of mind. It's as easy as scratch, stick, and submit!

Drivers, keep in mind these road closures as you head downtown this weekend:
🚧 By 5:00 PM this evening, Thursday, September 17, the Street Department will have areas downtown blocked off for the duration of the festival. Expect closures on Winchester Ave. from 14th-18th Streets, including those side streets and alleys.

Can’t find your water service line to identify its material? We can help! As part of new federal drinking water regulations, customers with “unknown” pipes are being asked to complete a quick identification survey. We know this can be tricky if your pipes are in a crawl space or behind a wall, but don’t worry! Simply watch this video, follow the tips below, and a City of Ashland crew member will come out and do the inspection for you:

✅ Access the survey by clicking this link: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/b59eee160a364c75b96d551a839f324a
✅ In the “Service Line Location” section, select “No.”
✅ Under “Need assistance?” select “Yes” and provide your contact information. We’ll reach out with next steps.
✅ Hit submit and you’re done!

Thank you to Ms. Stacy Lyons and her art class at Crabbe Elementary for reminding us to only put rain down our storm drains! Ms. Lyons and her students did a wonderful job painting this mural. Be sure to look for it on your next walk around Central Park!
