Happy 9th Birthday to my very first reason for everything—my sweet Noel. 💜🎉

Nine years ago, you changed my life forever. You made me a mom, and from that very first moment, you have filled my world with more love, laughter, purpose, and joy than I ever imagined possible.

Watching you grow into such a kind, intelligent, creative, and compassionate young lady has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. You have a heart that loves deeply, a smile that lights up every room, and a spirit that reminds me every day to keep believing in what’s possible.

Noel, I am so proud of the person you are becoming. Never stop dreaming big, asking questions, creating, and being unapologetically YOU. The world is brighter because you’re in it.

Thank you for making me your mommy. It is the greatest honor of my life.

Happy 9th Birthday, my beautiful girl! May this year be filled with unforgettable adventures, endless laughter, and every blessing your heart can hold. I love you more than words could ever express. 💜🎂🎈✨

Help me wish my amazing baby girl, Noel, a very Happy 9th Birthday! 🎉🎁🎊 by @ashleighbcurry

Still trying to process everything that happened this past week. Reading this article and knowing that the little boy being talked about is my son hits differently.

There are no words big enough to describe the gratitude I have for my sister. In one of the scariest moments imaginable, she did what family does — she protected him. She fought for his life without hesitation.

I know people are calling her a hero, and to us, she truly is. But beyond that, she is a mother, a sister, an auntie, and a woman whose love runs so deep that instinct took over before fear ever could.

I thank God for covering both of them and for every person who stepped in to help bring them safely back to shore. This could have ended so differently, and I do not take that miracle lightly.

Please continue to keep our family lifted in prayer as we continue processing this experience. And please — respect the ocean, respect rip currents, and hold your loved ones a little tighter today. by @ashleighbcurry

There are moments as a director that remind you why you do this work… and this is one of them. 💜

I am beyond proud to share that The Little Theater of Gastonia’s production of The Color Purple has been nominated for 6 ACE Awards for 2026.

This production was more than a show to me. It was a labor of love, healing, storytelling, and community. Every rehearsal, every late night, every difficult scene, every song, every tear, and every standing ovation reminded me how powerful art can truly be.

Watching this cast grow, support one another, and pour themselves into these roles has been one of the greatest honors of my life as a director.

Congratulations to our incredible nominees:✨ Best Musical✨ Aniyah Young – Best Female Lead Musical✨ Dontel Mills – Best Male Lead Musical✨ Heaven Watson-Weary – Best Female Supporting Musical✨ Gabbie Taylor – Best Rising Star Musical✨ Kalaya Taylor – Best Rising Star Musical
